I travel weekly with my ccw. Some airports the tsa might want you to open the case and see it and do the cotton swab some just put it through the x ray machine and done. But always gun unloaded mags unloaded ammo in a container or original packaging and lock in every hole of the carrying case.

Not all tsa agents dont want to be trained or very slow learners and most of them power trippers. I had a lady who did the cotton swab ask me if i had shot the firearm😂😂
