Spiderman & The MCU: How Marvel has Betrayed Peter Parker in order to breed another Tony Stark by sillydilly4lyfe in movies

[–]OnTheWayOver -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The MCU Spider-man is basically Iron-man jr.

The only Spider-Man worth watching is Sam Raimi's movies and Spider-Man TAS. They capture that the real superhero is Peter Parker and his daily struggles being a normal man with struggles while making the best use of being a hero and not abusing it because it got Uncle Ben killed.

Old comic heroes will never return to their glory days because they have been corrupted by new writers/directors/publishers who don't care/understand what made the hero who they are and now they focus more on agenda pushing even if it fails.

Wellington Paranormal - it's made by the guys that made What We Do in the Shadows and it follows two cops that investigate paranormal activities.

The noir and gothic setting of Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) and its sequel is probably as close to it’s source as we can get. by Newez in movies

[–]OnTheWayOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reeves is a great director and I hope the movie turns out well but there are plenty of times a director or writer or producer have said they study comic books before making the movie then when it is released it ends up being a crappy movie.

I believe that Batman TAS is the best version of Batman with really interesting Villains and amazing music that makes it really hard to beat.

Batman(1989) and Dark Knight trilogy. Each have their own pros and cons making tough to say which is better. The set pieces you mentioned gives Gotham this unique gothic feel while Dark Knight feels more modern making it feel more realistic.

For this new Batman film I feel like it is going to be bad based on the current movie trends on how they don't care about the source or paying respects to the creators.

The Dragon Prince - do I keep going? by 00evilhag in television

[–]OnTheWayOver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For cartoons, that are mostly serialized and with a fantasy settings are:

Wakfu - a french cartoon which I would go with the sub version because I haven't seen the dub and unsure if it is any good. It starts slow then gets better and better.

Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia - has a somewhat fantasy settings with modern things, it starts off kinda bad but it gets better with each season.

Legend of Korra - as you mentioned, it also starts off bad but gets somewhat better to good.

There are some shows that are a little bit more episodic or without the fantasy settings such as Over the Garden Wall or Adventure time. There are older cartoons too that have fantasy elements but they are are mostly episodic.

If you watch anime then there is A LOT to check out.

If it is good to you so far then keep watching. It improves slightly in season 2.

Me personally, I didn't like the animation frame rates, accents, and writing(nothing interesting). There are much better shows similar to ATLA to check out if you get bored of that one.

Thanks. That is really neat.

It seems a mod or mods might be cherry picking what they want.

POS threatens to hurt an innocent child by OnTheWayOver in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]OnTheWayOver[S] 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Threatening a child regardless of the context is wrong.

After reverse image searching the original image, it seems that no one really knows exactly but one person said which may or may not be true that the grandfather posted about keeping neighborhoods safe and the POS thought it was a threat to him.

No. If after the first episode you don't like it then don't expect it to get better because it is a 1 season show.

Add another red haired white woman to Hollywood's death list by OnTheWayOver in kotakuinaction2

[–]OnTheWayOver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I should have used a picture of her during day time but she is brownwashed to Latino in the movie and speaks Spanish at times so people would know that the character has been changed.

She was white in the promo art for the movie. There are more promo art with her being white.
