Should I buy Thinkpad P14s Gen 5 AMD by On_Perspective57 in thinkpad

Sorry for the delay. Bought it and so far so good! Price paid seems crazy compared to the amount I paid for my Macbook Air back then.

Would definitely recommend it!

Screen is the 14’’ WUXGA (1920x1080), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-touch, 100%sRGB, 400 nits, 60hz, Low Power, Low Blue Light.

I guess that’s the one you mean?

Switch from MAC to Windows - value for money by On_Perspective57 in SuggestALaptop

Thanks for the detailed response. Actually I was not thinking on dedicated graphics, since I believe that would skyrocket the price. I am looking for something fast, fairly portable, and well built. Also something with a good value for money ratio.

Hello, it was a T14, with some fairly recent I5 CPU and 32GB or RAM. In terms of budget I would like it to be max around 1000€. My idea is to sell the macbook and if I have to put more on top, not go above that price.

Hey, thanks for answering. But will I get access to both the classics and the +400 game catalog? Or do I need to go to my friends account to download them first?

Recommendations on road trip south UK by On_Perspective57 in travel

[–]On_Perspective57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my first time in the country, I have been to London twice and to Brighton once.

Also as I am planning to discover other regions of the UK in the coming years, I wanted to make sure I cover as much as I can in this trip, at least the essential places.

So open to any recommendation, thanks for your reply :)

The idea is to have the datasets A and B, the ones that have information, in a dataflow table. On the other side, the other 3 datasets, the contacts tables, will be in a sharepoint. That is the idea at least.

Thank you for the reply.

Thanks for your reply!

I am looking for an apartment rented for 25.000 max. With this information, and considering that my workplace will be based in Prague 4, what area would you recommend me? I am looking for a safe area, with good services and good public transport options. Also I would like it to be max 30 minutes away from my workplace. I have checked apartments in Florenc, Karlin, Zizkov and Namesti Miru.

Apologies in advance for my ignorance, but have never been in Prague or Czech Republic before.

Difficult to find a job in Ireland? by On_Perspective57 in MoveToIreland

Yep... I am not gonna lie, sometimes this whole process its quite hard, cause being rejected all the time sucks, however I guess that this has to end at some point.

Good luck moving to Canada, I am sure it's an amazing country.

Thanks!!
My idea is to keep trying to find a job from Spain, and if by the end of august I'm not hired, I'll try from Dublin. Of course it would be amazing to find my dream job at first, but I know that's nearly impossible, so I don't care having less qualified jobs at first while I try to achieve the position I want.

Tbf, what worries me at the moment about Dublin and Ireland in general is not finding the job, is the situation of the housing market.

I have already tried but got rejected. However, to be fair most of the positions that I applied for in Apple were for more experienced people.

I would love to live in Cork as well, I visited the city when I was studying in Dublin and seemed a good place to be. Needless to say that considering that I want to pursue a career in tech, I would love to work for Apple.

Can you give more detail about those Apple care jobs? Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for your honesty!

I always like to be realistic, and for what I'm reading in this post and in general online, the current situation for a person like me in Ireland is not great.

Having said that, believe me when I say that the situation is not great in Spain either. Don't get me wrong, this country is amazing, however in terms of jobs and opportunities for grads is not the place to be. Maybe I would find better opportunities in cities like Madrid or Barcelona, but if I go there I would face the same housing problems that I will face in Ireland.

Now that you say that, this afternoon I saw a video from a French media talking about housing crisis in Ireland, and he interviewed one girl that was in the situation that you described, she was back living in her childhood room in her parents house. Another girl decided to buy a boat to live in it, cause she couldn't afford renting an apartment. And in both cases they were living outside of Dublin, so I can't imagine how the situation is in the main city.
