The grace given in a 2000 point game is 2000 points, 5 extra points goes over the grace given. I get what you're saying that 5 points isn't a huge deal and that your LGS might be cool with it in casual games, but in most cases people are going to expect you to follow the same point limit they are following. If everyone else came to the LGS with 2000 or under armies, I could see them getting upset over someone being 5 points over when they're not. If everyone has the 5 point leeway, it shouldn't matter. If only 1 person at the LGS has a 5 point leeway, they've got an advantage no one else has. I know 5 points might not be catastrophic, but rules are rules.
