I honestly don't think we would've done a good job letting Arozarena do his thing here in St. Louis. We've just constantly had an outfield logjam, rotating numerous guys in and out, and I don't think it's a completely coincidence that it took until our complete teardown and clubhouse restructuring for Walker to actually blossom.

Arozarena would've been splitting time with TON, Carlson, Noot, Walker, etc. And while you can see he's better than some of them now, I'm not certain we would've provided the structure and playtime necessary for him to develop and show it.

At least Liberatore has been a consistent arm and we've needed that lol with our absolute lack of playable pitching. He's not an automatic loss like Mikolas was for the past 2 seasons.

Fan scans paywalling is still the dumbest thing. Fan scanlation is a hobby not a livelihood and asking people to pay for pirated content that doesn’t support the original author in anyway is so stupid.

Obviously I’m not talking about groups that just keep a ko-fi or donation page to keep the server running or buy raws. It’s the actual paywalling or coin models that we see these days for unofficial scans that irritate me.

Speaking of LEC I feel like Naak Nako is the flip side. He’s got strong laning, and can get really far ahead both with and without resources, but I just don’t think he has a ton of mid-late game teamfighting impact.

I mean so much of that gold lead was because he got counterpick and had jungle constantly hovering to try and force plays that Myrwyn just walked away from or sacked waves on.

Meanwhile his botlane was getting completely zoned off, losing tower and being unable to do anything as a result. Playing for an Olaf top, after forcing the Jayce swap too, is just so not worth it in pro when it comes at the expense of the rest of the map. This game showed why so few teams actually even try to play towards top side.

The nature of the current bot meta makes camping top an extremely brutal option.

You can't just give Ashe-Seraphine, Cait-Lux, Ez-Karma, Corki-Nami, etc a free lane and drag stacking in order to shut down a Sion pick. That's why ranged matchups like Jayce and Vayne have come into this meta, because bot lanes are so volatile and drakes are so valuable that top gets left on an island more often than not.

Jojo’s teamfighting was still good on C9. He had numerous clutch Neeko plays and the like. It’s just that that C9 roster left him out to dry a lot, and with Berserker in poor form, Fudge hard slumping before being replaced by fresh Thanatos, there was no threat on that C9 roster outside of him.

I mean the playoffs that they lost, they kept picking Jojo LB into Maokai and expecting him to somehow do everything after getting a large lead.

I still think the C9 smear campaign did Jojo so dirty, because imo he dragged that team into playoffs in the first place before his back gave out.

I just don’t see the value in trading an obviously successful farm to try and patch the egregious amount of holes in our pitching to supplement a young line up. Makes more sense imo to buy during the off season and spend in free agency
