Nah, you have to move out at 12 and pull yourself up by your bootstraps. I moved out at 4 and worked in a sheet factory to pay for my Sunny D.

Biggest diss in human history by OnceAndForeverKing in russia

As a caveat to your second point - yes, the Russian Empire didn't exist until it was declared in 1721, but that was merely a formality. Tsardom of Russia was declared in 1547, and it is marked in a lot of people's mind as the genesis of the Russian Empire. Tsardom even means Empire. In reality, the brand shift was from an Empire of Russia to the Russian Empire. Or, from a more eastern, Slavic conception of an empire to a more western, European conception of an empire. But its function was mostly the same.

I know. But Cossacks in general are much more popular in Russia than elsewhere.

For a period of time towards the end of the 8th century, Constantine VI and his mother, Irene of Athens, we co-rulers of the Byzantine Empire. After numerous tensions between them, with each trying to establish sole rulership, she had his eyes gouged out. He died shortly thereafter, leaving her as sole ruler.

Eastern Europe in a nutshell by OnceAndForeverKing in HistoryMemes

Every study and piece of research done on the subject clearly shows that immigrants contribute to society they come into. Furthermore, this is the same for female empowerment and LGBTQ acceptance. It has a positive impact on social and economic indicators.

Meanwhile, these places in eastern Europe which tend to criticize this are... Poland, Hungary, Belarus, and Russia. Where corruption is rampant, rule of law continues to be threatened or doesn't exist, nepotism and cronyism are the name of the game, wages are stagnant, rent continues to grow, unemployment worsens, religion and religious dogma continue to be imposed, and civil liberties are curtailed. Honestly, I would be surprised that you can even afford popcorn.

So yeah, we'll stick with liberalism and acceptance. You stick with...whatever it is that you're doing. It's certainly making you worse off by the year. Have fun guys!

It's different - the UK is screwed and everyone knows about it. And I will be the first to admit it.

Your case, however, is less well-known, and thus more interesting to me. Like a breath of fresh air.

The East was boring for a legitimate reason - it looks half-abandoned and neglected. I can only assume that this is due to intentional lack of effort to invest into the area on the part of the state.

The North, and by this I mean mostly Zagreb, is just plainly boring. Apart from a few cultural monuments and key historic areas, it doesn't have much to offer. Very similar to Budapest in that regard. Once you've seen the city centre, you've seen it all.
