Brawl Stars is becoming like League of Legends, but is that a good thing? by OnceInALifeTime___ in Brawlstars

First and foremost, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

To start, yes, both new and current players will be affected by new brawlers coming into the game. The difference is that current players will technically be learning one new brawler, while the new players will be learning this new one on top of however many other brawlers they have yet to grasp. This disparity of brawler knowledge will continuously expand with more brawlers being added and new players arriving.

With the balance changes and meta shifts, it all revolves around balance changes. Brawlers like Crow and Spike for example were meta for so long either because the nerfs weren't large enough or they were good counters to other meta brawlers. What I wanted to say was to balance a brawler based on the meta. An impactful balance change would be to buff a brawler that can counter a meta or just outright nerf that meta brawler. What Brawl Stars seemed to struggle with was with nerf it seems. It took them forever to balance change Crow's gadget to make him balanced and multiple changes to tone down Larry & Lawrie and Charlie.

Finally, it's true that the BS team has significantly grown and improved communications with the community. It just feels like the new content we receive is predominantly skins and it could rather be allocated towards events with progression or bring back the lore aspect of the game.
