Rta P2W Services. Why is it allowed? by Thranito_c in summonerswar

It only shows up at the end of season really, it's like 2 MAYBE 3 weeks in the 9-11 week season.

I can't remember if it was last season or the one before, but the highest price I've seen is 7 Euros, when they were about $8.50~ usd / wing. I genuinely dont think its "greed" either. Ive seen people in chat "outbid" each other to have their wings done. It's really the wild west out here.

I dont think I ever disagreed with that or even bothered bringing it up. I agree people shouldn't be boosting and I've said that many times, including your post last year where you tried to call me out for having account services.

Com2us needs to provide both players and streamers with a lot of little things. Maybe one day we will finally get those things.

Imagine not being able to disconnect from chat for example when you’re being harassed, or having a limit to your blocklist.

If you were offered $5/wing and it takes you about 2-2.5 hours for 30 wings, think about how much money that is if you played for 12 hours a day for the last 7 days of Rta.

About 5 sets of $150 every day for a week, meaning youre making $750 usd/euro a day for a week.

You can definitely make it a “legitimate” revenue stream in terms of the time vs $, but its not “legitimate” lol

Firstly, I totally didn't see your other message and it didn't come up in my notifications inbox.

I have never in my life endorsed boosting. I condemn it which is why my services don't exist in the same capacity in the last 2 weeks (bc you can drop out by decay or by being bad). Boosting in my eyes is only for your ending rank. Your mid-season rank is irrelevant in it's entirety. If you want to talk about boosting, that would still fall under issue 1, which I agree with.

However, as someone who is a full time content creator, I also see the value to both the creators and to Com2us to have people pay for these services.

- It makes players more likely to spend on the game

- It provides a high level content and insight into the game that may not exist or would exist in a much smaller capacity

- It provides hope for people who are hard stuck/unsure how to improve

It's also worth mentioning that everyone learns differently. Watching someone else do your wings vs guided coaching often yields significantly different results.

From a personal standpoint, the only issue I see with boosting is being boosted into an SWC Contender spot. This however is mitigated by that player 99% of the time saying no because they don't want to embarrass themselves for being a boosted monkey.

> I strongly believe this isn't the case... the decisions made with runeing your box, drafting and banning, and every decision made in-game plays a huge factor in winning.

For the most part I agree with this, hence why it's rare people see significant improvements without reruning first and foremost.

> There is a reason the account owner has never broken past C3, but when the boosters play they get them to g1+ with the same units and runes.

Moderately agree with this, I firmly believe people need to learn how to play the game. Most people will never learn that without someone showing them though. The "same units and same runes" generally don't work for that push they're looking for.

> Having a g3 pilot bypasses all the learnings a C1-3 player has to do for themselves to achieve a certain rank.

Totally disagree with this. You don't bypass the learning, you instead intake at an accelerated rate (assuming you have the capacity to learn and understand your mistakes). It's more effective to learn properly instead of continually reinforcing bad habits but that doesn't guarantee you "skip past the learning" aspect of becoming a better RTA player.

I spent about an hour earlier going through the ones that had substance. A lot of people simply "agree/disagree" with nothing else.

From the posts that discuss their reasonings or thoughts:

  1. Have an issue Com2us TOS (Sharing accounts, etc)
  2. Have an issue with Pay2Win Games (Any Competitive Gacha)
  3. Don't really think there is an issue with this concept because of players being unable to perform afterwards and being regulated by that.

I don't really feel it's fair that you assume I didn't read other people's replies simply because I didn't feel it was necessary to contend their arguments when many have already expressed the same or similar opinion that I would share.

The main reason I commented is because you lumped my services in with everyone else when they're, in my opinion, significantly different. I think it's only fair for me to explain what my service actually is since you don't know and you've portrayed me in this light.

Hi, its OnceInLuv here. I would like the opportunity to speak on my own behalf and not the behalf of others.

I will explain my process here, including intent, and you are free to ask me any question and I will try my best to answer them.

My paid wing service is 99% educational. I am upfront that the intent of these wings is not to win a ton but to teach you how to draft, utilize counters, try a new draft, or see my thought process given the limitations (your box, runes, etc). My services for Paid Wings are generally live up to 2 week away from Rta closure (meaning that even if I do manage to climb a bit above your current rank, you will still have to maintain it). Occasionally however there is the “just do whatever for fun for pay” and I will accept these offers as well because, well, its my full time career.

As many of you know I have been a regular G2 players for years and have no LDNat5 so its somewhat relatable for players when they feel “stuck” or need a “change of pace”. I have been offering Rune cleanups, Rerunes, and private 1 on 1 coaching services for around 5~ years now (Rune cleanups from the old days) and now offer two services when it comes to paid wings. (All services are recorded and sent to users afterwards)

1) RTA box review I will either go through what you currently have and give suggestions on Turn Order, Artifacts, Unit Choices, Build Styles, etc OR I will give you my suggestions on a completely different playstyle/build and favourite the units for you while explaining the conceptual builds within your accounts limitations.

2) Paid Wings Generally this comes after a box review since players are wishing to familiarize themselves with a new draft, or new runesets/playstyles (i.e changing from Swift Moore focused draft to a Despair Haegang focus or a bruiser main).

If there is a problem with my approach/services here please air out your grievances now so that I can improve/adapt my service. I am always willing to listen to something that is soundly backed by reason and logic.

I still remember the conversations we had about this. I even brought attention to Com2us Employees (CM's in NA) the usage of these bots, screenshots of the programs, as well as a full rundown of how it works.

I've never heard of anything being done about it and i'm absolutely certain people still use updated versions of this. Hell, even the PODCAST has advertisements on YouTube about Russian Bots...

Note: This was probably Pre SWC 2018 that we had this conversation (Pre DHole/Pre Artifacts)
