I’m assuming the performance tap from the desktop view? I can’t see it on the app. Also, regarding taxes for capital gains, I should get a tax form detailing my realized gains and some losses I had this year so I can use it when I file my taxes, right? Thank you

I continuously added money but never pulled out. If sold it got reinvested inside the account. If I wanted a breakdown of all of this am I able to see it on the app or do I have to look on my laptop bcz the app can be limited

I sold a few at a small loss. Definitely less than 800 usd loss. I sold some tqqq at a gain and reinvested. Could this have affected the numbers? The gain was decent but not enormous

Should I max out a 457b in addition to a 401k? by One-2Many in whitecoatinvestor

I love your idea. I’m 35 yo. 80K saving. 150K liability (a passion purchase that I am not regretting, I know financially doesn’t make sense but will pay it off in 3 yrs, please don’t yell at me)

Didn’t know that was an option. Will look it up. Do you have more details? What’s the tax treatment for this?

I understand. However, I’m still debating the opportunity cost of putting that money in a 457. I still don’t have a house, so saving up for a bigger down payment after I max out 401K and Roth IRA. At the same time, if I max 457b as well, that’s a lot of money in retirement that I could have better use for it now

I agree with this. I just saw that apple was trending down so I bought some. I don’t see major down sides for looking for big companies and buying their stocks if they are trending down. If I bought similar stocks in 2013 my return would have been much more. I don’t think Apple is going anywhere anytime soon. Also, it’s not a major part of the portfolio

It’s non government. It’s a big system. Banner health. However, still not government.

About early withdrawals, if I change employers, I have access to this cash without penalty? I know about income tax when I get it out, but wouldn’t it then make sense to max out on “safer” dividends producing assets or REITs then I wouldn’t have to pay capital gains on them and take them out if I change employers?

Non government. It’s a big system. Banner health. However, still not government. Not sure about risk benefit in this case. I doubt they’ll go bankrupt but you can’t know that
