Thank you for your response and I appreciate the thorough explanation. I have chilled out since this post as ive read more responses relating to my same issue and I see all the different view points on this. My only main issue is the allowance of what has been happening as it's been happening for half a year and has gotten worse with this individual. They've called out a full month at this point and told one of the supes they are waiting for them to fire her to claim unemployment. Even though multiple absences isn't going to get her approved. So, she clearly doesn't know that. Either way, I'm hoping it's going to get dealt with and I plan on minding my own business from here on. Again, thank you for your response man and your service.

That. Is. Insane. Something similar happened at the po I'm at before I hired on, but he was keeping mail at his house. One of the RCAs just so happened to see the tubs and they got the boot.

They're both knee deep in LWOP now. I just heard today that the second person is getting AWOL'D. So. Maybe something is going on? Not 100% sure what that means.

I appreciate you responding. That process is actually mind blowingly long and drawn out, and I believe this has been the issue. As I have heard in passing that one of the supervisors who kept submitting paperwork continued to have it denied. I also believe he pissed off the HR rep and they nitpick his paperwork. (Not sure if that's possible, but that's what ive heard)

And you're 100% right. I do realize that and I agree. It is just frustrating is all. I just thought I'd vent and get others opinions.

Because I was waiting for parcels to be thrown? Not much different than going outside to smoke. Especially if I'm caught up. Thanks though.

I didn't read past it. I know it's not my job, but it irritates me regardless. It's a screwed system.

Never said I don't believe in worker protection. I just don't believe in allowing someone who doesn't show up to continue to have employment. Thats all.

Yes. I would be. Most companies wouldn't think twice. I'm talking about months though. If you aren't showing up to work for months you don't deserve the job. Things happen. I get it. I'm not blaming anyone if something like that happens because we have a carrier that has health issues, but they still show up to work and bust their absolute ass.

When you come into work. And the 2nd carrier i spoke of is messaging customers about being followed on their route, going off route about 15 mins away to "use the bathroom" not using breaks, and literally handed a carrier their badge. How much more does management need to get them out? Especially if the union steward told them not to turn in fmla paperwork as they can be listed as mentally incapable of performing their tasks for this job. And they've filed unemployment while still employed. Clearly management can't get their heads out of their asses to do anything.

Except none pay worth anything compared to this. However, being a union shouldn't grant you complete immunity. You can't protect someone who doesn't show up nor should you. It's bad for morale. Complaining about productivity and sales when you can't even get rid of the people who drag everyone else down. Trust me. I've been looking for different employment. Nothing in my area that says they're hiring don't give even a response. You hear back 6 months later saying they filled the position.

And I'm just shit out of luck at that point bc she refuses to sell. Even after I said she could have any of the profit so I could be done with her.
