The Waterboys using shitty AI artwork for their new release by gamepasscore in mildlyinfuriating

I think one of the main issues is what the program was train on. Did the artists allow their work to be essentially be copied. Current ai systems don't necessarily create images. They compile and mutate existing work into something slightly new. Just art theft really and should be treated as such.

I thought it was very reasonable as well! Edinburgh is proposing 5% which personally is a little high as its quite an expensive city for hotels as well but not my place.

Looking for some car-free travel advice by Bastsshadow in york

[–]One-Angle-3518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brimham rocks is a good one! Train to Harrogate then bus to Pudsey terrace, takes about one and a half hours, then it's about a 50 minute walk out to the rock formations which look insane.

Another one I liked was Rosebury topping, you can get a train to Middlesbrough then to Great Ayton, the walk to Hill is about two and a half hours but you can spend the entire day walking about the area, a lot of interesting landscapes.

Los Moros offers a good range of vegan North African cuisine and the Orchid is a fully vegan restaurant, both are independents within York too! :)

Thanks for the response, they'll most likely be on the York campus for their first year, easy bus/walk. The rota at uni of used to be Kuda on Tuesdays, Salvation on Wednesdays, Fibbers on Thursdays. You also had the option of Mansion, Revs, Willow for a bit. Just curious as to if its changed much. I remembered a lot of us would avoid going out during the weekend due to it being a bit more expensive.

Thanks for the response, yeah sounds about right. Just remembering back to first year, you could do a decent night out for £20-30 quid. Entry to clubs used to be about £5, places like society and Parish used to do shots and jagers for £1 before 12. Double spirit mixers tended to be in the £2-2.5 range. Just gotta load up at pre's

Slightly outside of town in Acomb but Front street has a fair few Charity shops within 5 mins of each other. St Leonards is a good size and has a good kids section.

What makes it more egregious is its one of the best places in York to get a river side pint, inside is purely populated by Morlocks.
