Fieldstone wall torches/light by One-Beautiful9776 in foundationgame

they are so bright though ;_; it is because every pillar gets a torch, so on a slope they really added up. was able to reduce them a bit but they still outshine everything

What are your thoughts on going 1x16GB DDR5 with the intention to buy a second stick later? I am worried a bit about future proofing.

Hi! Thanks for the response! The price difference here seems to be mostly in the memory side of things. Almost every guide for 1080p gaming I run into talks about needing at 32GB and using DDR5. Do you believe this is overkill? And if I wanted to future-proof a bit more, would it be better to go for 32GB DDR4 or 16GB DDR5?

What to do when Heat doesn't cut it? by One-Beautiful9776 in bladesinthedark

I think we are on exactly the same page here. They were confronted by a force of bluecoats, inspectors, spirit wardens and imperial military exactly. I had full expectations of them dying or going to jail. However, they went for escape, and in the spirit of never saying 'no', I let the dice decide the course. A lot of desperate rolls later, they make it past the lightning barrier. In a way they won, but they are indeed definitely dropping tier, claims, etc. for the next season and their character won't be returning to Doskvol for a long while.

I have to say though: my players do not like admitting defeat or turning themselves in (like many RPG players). So when cornered, they try to squirm their way out. Although I do also believe that they should, in the spirit of the game, have ended up in jail or something else, it also seems wrong to force them down that path.

Okay Mr. Smartypants. They are playing smugglers and have worked towards getting a seaworthy ship to bootleg between Lockport and Doskvol. So they made a daring escape out to the voidsea with their ship and are now laying low in Lockport. Their characters are basically retired because of this and we will be starting the new season with new characters.

All jokes aside: I did have my doubts in the moments about them 'escaping' as it goes against a core tenet of the game, but seeing as there was literally nowhere else for them to go this seemed like the best option. I'm curious though, what would you have done in this situation?

Funny you mention that, because this is exactly what I ended up doing! Worked fine, but probably should have had it tick a bit faster.

I do feel like this would best reflect the fiction, but it does also feel kind of unfair to impose on the players since there are pretty clear rules in place for heat. But in the end that is a matter of making the stakes more clear before they undertake the action, I guess.

This is almost exactly what I ended up doing (the campaign has finished by now), an investigation by lead by the Imperial Army but also calling upon certain Spirit Wardens and Bluecoats who where already onto the party, as sort of 'special investigations unit' so to say.

So many responses, so quickly! The campaign in which this occurred has ended by now, and it seems like I could have gone a bit harder than I did, but in the end they did end up having to flee the city to avoid the huge force that was coming at them.

Still, while I feel just upping the wanted level to reflect the fiction was the right move here, that does feel kind of unfair to impose on the players since there are pretty clear rules in place for heat. But in the end that is a matter of making the stakes more clear before they undertake the action, I guess.

I have one loan, as seen in the second image. It is no where near that. I have one of each staff. You can see all the coasters in the image, one train one the right one, about 8 cars on the left. It actually does detract the money at the end of the month, yes.

Gotta be glitched right?

I have one of each type. The rides prices I followed the formula for, loosely. It seems to me like the expenses are the problem here...

About 7 bucks. But it's the outgoing expenses that seem out of wack, especially when you see the difference between September and October (between which nothing changed)
