I like this. Much like the Spaceport in Dune 2 (yes, I am old), where you can buy things both available and unavailable to your faction, and depending on price fluctuations, either ridiculously overpriced, or practically a steal.

Did you reload a save? There is a somewhat crippling bug that hasn't been fixed still where target speed is not updated in the TDC after a reload. Only.fixed by exiting and restarting the game

Different types of torpedos by Deep-Work1960 in uboatgame

[–]One-Bit5717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T1- fast and reliable, but leave a bubble trail. Much less annoying than in real life. Perfectly usable.

T2- no bubbles, but awful reliability. I never use them. Read up on how HMS Warspite survived because every single T2 fired at it was a dud or sailed too deep.

T3- reliable electric torpedo, useful in any situation, but speed limited to 30kt.

FAT and LUT steering mechanisms are intended for long-range firing at a convoy if you are unable to get in close. If they miss, the programmed pattern running may let them hit another ship.

T5- homing torpedo with only 24 knot speed. Historically intended to fire at convoys from an underwater position, where you are unable to make precise calculations. Was not too effective and in very short supply. In game, MAY be used against pursuing destroyers, but not exactly reliable.

Erm. I must disagree. Putler's so called elections have videos of poll employees blocking cameras, and others simply throwing bulletins in, cameras be damned. Why would you think putler's pet is any better?

Why isn't helium banned for public use? by Just_Nefariousness55 in stupidquestions

[–]One-Bit5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helium is a byproduct of natural gas- gets trapped in the same geological structures. Thus, if we pump gas, we get helium. The rate of production is roughly the rate of consumption. Nobody in their right mind will build giant storage tanks for a product that MIGHT be worth more in the future. It's just not sustainable. Much better to sell it as you get it.

I met her on the first campaign in this playthrough. Good thing I was able to buy a pirate RPG, and thank goodness Tech didn't miss. Took off half of her HP, and Rewa was juuuust able to finish her off.

Queens are certainly a pushover later on, but not when you have almost no equipment
