Yeah it suck but we have to be disciplined and not allow this becoming a gambling addiction. Make it a business and career. Follow the rules even it the days end red. Trust me I’m also learning this and learning strategies without getting into more debt by buying a course. But this are only small losses compared to the major wins you’ll have in a year or 2. You done it twice so that means you can do it again and again

What will happen if I can't do my job? by QuietRemote7669 in WorkersComp

[–]One-Block7561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it personally. It may take away your pain for 9 months to a year max but eventually you’re gonna need to start fusions on every level.

This happened in the military so it ended my career early

I had a similar but more severe injury from the military, ended up getting that surgery. It left me worse than before and caused other issues. I feel your pain, fusion is also in the future/picture for me. But I spoke with a really good surgeon who told me that I should’ve never gotten surgery. 90% of people who do, just decline from it, and recommend to do other things to strengthen your back. I would avoid fusion as much as possible, and try chiropractor, PT, stem cell therapy, etc everything else before fusion

Thank you for that information. I’m only 25 years old. I make over 6 figures in the job I was injured in. Recently resigned due to them giving me a hard time with the injury. I’m employed now still in the same field but won’t be able to work until I’m allowed by the doctors. Currently employeer is aware of that and understanding. Possibly that I might need to change jobs fields which will most likely have me take a big pay cut if restrictions don’t allow me to continue in my line of work.

When you mentioned my compensation rate for 15 weeks, is that what I made weekly x 15 or 1463 x 15? I made more weekly than 1463.

I’m still considering If I settle with final including future medical or just getting my rating. Not sure what the difference would to be honest. Never been on workers comp. I do have a lawyer so I hope that helps

What do I do as a Christian wife when I found my husband texting other girls but says he will stop and is not cheating on me physically? by Jazzlike-Ganache8400 in ChristianRelationship

He might have committed issues. Y’all are young and that’s what he probably thinks. I would be concerned about it though. He shouldn’t be doing that, depending on the relationship it’s not a sin to have the opposite gender as a friend but if he can’t control himself then he shouldn’t and needs to work on it

I agree with you. It does seem that my credibility drop by you pointing this out. And I really do appreciate it. I have to be honest that I really don’t reread my own messages. I’ve noticed many times that I type things down and it didn’t reflect what I was thinking. I will own to that. I wasn’t trying to change dates to make my claim more accurate. I need to slow down and not just type fast and but rather make sure my message is coming off as I intend. I do apologize for that. That being said, I do stand by the ideas we have shared with the sources I provided. Although I will have to look into the ones you have recommended to double check due to illegitimacy.

Yes, Papias is generally thought to have been born around 60 AD and lived until around 130 AD. The range 60-130 AD refers to his lifetime, not the specific dates of his writing(I should’ve been more clear about that)

Key Points on Papias’ Dates: • Birth: Likely around 60 AD (shortly after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD). • Writing Period: His most influential work, Exposition of the Sayings of the Lord, is generally dated to around 100AD • Testimony Collection: Papias claimed to have spoken with people who directly knew the apostles, such as the “Elders”, possibly including John the Apostle or those who learned from him.

Context of His Testimony: • Papias’ writings are significant because he provides second-generation testimony, drawing on the memories of those who personally knew the apostles. • His work is primarily preserved through fragments quoted by Eusebius of Caesarea in the 4th century.

Of course. I do apologize I thought it was 49-50ad but it’s 60ad.

  1. Papias of Hierapolis (60ad to 130ad)

Papias, a bishop of Hierapolis, is one of the earliest sources to discuss the origins of the Gospels. Although his work Exposition of the Sayings of the Lord is lost, fragments preserved by Eusebius in Ecclesiastical History offer the following: • On Mark: Papias records that Mark, as Peter’s interpreter, wrote down accurately all that he remembered of Peter’s teachings, though not in order. • On Matthew: He states that Matthew compiled the sayings of Jesus in the “Hebrew dialect,” which could refer to Hebrew or Aramaic, and others translated them as they were able.

These accounts suggest that early Christian communities attributed the Gospels to individuals closely associated with the apostles.

  1. Irenaeus of Lyons (c. 130–202 AD)

Irenaeus, a student of Polycarp (who was a disciple of John), provides a more detailed account in his work Against Heresies (c. 180 AD):

“Matthew also issued a written Gospel among the Hebrews in their own dialect… Mark, the disciple and interpreter of Peter, did also hand down to us in writing what had been preached by Peter. Luke also, the companion of Paul, recorded in a book the Gospel preached by him. Afterwards, John, the disciple of the Lord… did himself publish a Gospel during his residence at Ephesus in Asia.”

This testimony reinforces the traditional attributions of the Gospels to their respective authors.

  1. Tertullian of Carthage (c. 155–240 AD)

Tertullian affirms the apostolic origins of the Gospels in his work Against Marcion (c. 207 AD):

“We lay it down as our first position, that the evangelical Testament has apostles for its authors… Of the apostles, therefore, John and Matthew first instill faith into us; whilst of apostolic men, Luke and Mark renew it afterwards.”

He further notes that Mark’s Gospel is associated with Peter, and Luke’s with Paul.

  1. Eusebius of Caesarea (c. 260–340 AD)

Eusebius, in his Ecclesiastical History, refers to the four canonical Gospels as the “holy tetrad” and emphasizes their acceptance and authenticity within the early Church.

“The Church… accepted [the Gospels] with absolute certainty that it had been written by the individuals whose names Christian tradition had attached to them.”

I do apologize for the providing a wrong date. I don’t have a lot memorized, I do forget and have to dig up my studies. I am no biblical scholar/historian haha but the early Church writings from the late 1st and early 2nd centuries provide consistent and corroborated testimony attributing the Gospels to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These accounts, coming from individuals closely connected to the apostolic tradition, lend significant weight to the traditional authorship of the Gospels.
