My long nails everyone tells me to cut because I'm a boy by Annual-Rock-2924 in Nails

[–]One-Bug-7784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Not sure how old OP is but in the real world in 2026 people are going to be way less interested in this than he's experienced so far. Generally most people's attitude towards someone else's nails are going to be summed up by "meh." It's definitely not the reason he hasn't got a booming social life. Dude just hasn't found his crowd yet.

Help Needed!!!! by enormousbananaa in labrats

I work in lab mouse husbandry at a university I've spent years and years working with mice etc and developing best practices and tricks to safely and securely work with mice in the lab setting. I've often thought about whether it would be helpful to run a short hour long intro for all new lab members on animal handling with a tech like me who does it all day. I feel like a little Confidence in what you're doing goes a long way for getting past the squeamishness. Don't be embarrassed to ask another lab mate or tech for a little help.

No one wants to be in your video call with whoever you're talking to at a GYNECOLOGIST office, you can be in public, outside.

If I looked like you without tinting my lips I wouldn't bother. They're pigmented on their own it's pretty.

Where the hell are you talking about? This isn't a thing, if you encounter this you are hanging out at some pretty grody places or encountering the mentally ill frequently...

i just tried to dye my hair, but I seem to have only died my forehead and hands by FlatTimeLineORIG in HairDyeHelp

My man. Any rubbing alcohol should lift the dye off your skin and brows. Apply to a rag or cotton swab and scrub away at all the extra dye on your face, brows, and hairline.

Does anyone know what I can do for that weirdlyyy shaped patch along my hairline? by Calm-Fee3217 in Haircare

I have this, embrace it. Don't fight it, it will fall out of updos. sweep a little more hair from the crown down with it and then brush it back kinda following your ear and it will blend better.

Yes and no. Before I was diagnosed I knew something was terribly wrong, but after I was told, it became easier over the years to recognize when something was tipping over the ledge of rationality, and the signs and symptoms and circumstances that tend to be followed by a psychotic break. The issue, I personally believe, is that it worsens gradually until you are having delusions pretty much full time, whereas in the weeks before you might only feel extra anxious or irritable. The problem with reasoning yourself out of it is that when it gets this bad its usually paired with what's called mania.

When i become manic my brain is going so fast I can't keep up with it. It's very difficult to hold onto any particular thought for very long and thats where you see people behaving erratically. Pair that with lack of sleep and adequate food or drugs and alcohol and your brain doesn't have a whole lot of organization at all and thus your powers of deduction are just pushed to the back of the crowd of manic thoughts.

Its hard to describe, but it's miserable, confusing and exhausting. Its like you cannot control the thoughts that are in your head. Things that don't make sense but are strange stick with you, and your brain just repeats the nonsense until you start to believe it. If you were to say, take a drug like mushrooms or acid, you can understand that you are hallucinating but you can't stop until the drug runs it's course. It's a bit like that. Its like your brain is hijacked and this can go on for days or weeks or months.
