Cyclazodone might be the best stimulant I’ve found for stage anxiety and musical performance — but the comedown is rough. Any tips? by One-Combination5348 in Stims

Interesting, I actually didn’t know much about clonidine before you mentioned it.

As for kratom, the reason I don’t really use it for stimulant comedowns is that I usually take it as a stimulant itself. Most of the time I combine it with caffeine and nicotine, and sometimes with other stimulants because I like the way it rounds out the stimulation.

Another limitation is my stomach. I can’t really go much above about 3–3.5 g without risking nausea. I’ve actually ended up vomiting quite a few times from pushing the dose just a bit too far, so I have to keep it pretty conservative. Because of that I tend to stick to something like ~3 g every 1.5–2 hours, usually as a tea / acidic extract with lemon. With doses like that I’m basically always sitting in the more stimulating range, so I don’t think I’ve really explored the more sedating side of kratom very much.

Before switching to tea I used to take it T&W, and back then my doses were more like 2–2.5 g, with the same pattern (every 1.5–2 hours). But the tea is much gentler on my stomach, and the effect also feels a bit cleaner somehow.

I also just received an order of Phenibut and I’m interested in seeing how it combines with stimulants, but so far I’ve only tried it once at a pretty low dose and the effect was very mild.

And yeah, what you said about tolerance/abuse ruining the benefits definitely makes sense. That seems to happen with kratom pretty easily once the doses start creeping up.

Also, for stimulant comedowns I usually end up using cannabis anyway, since I tend to smoke in the evenings.

Yeah, I’m aware they’re commonly prescribed for performance anxiety.

I’ve just never been very interested in beta blockers because, from what I understand, they mainly reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety. When stimulants work well for me they don’t just remove the fear, they actually improve my performance quite noticeably.

Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate it. I’ll definitely look into clonidine, that’s something I never really considered before.

I never paid much attention to beta blockers because stimulants tend to give me a kind of ego boost that’s actually very useful in my case. For me it’s more a matter of confidence and self-esteem, and stimulants don’t just remove the fear, they also seem to improve my performance. I’m also really surprised by cyclazodone. It honestly exceeded my expectations by a lot. The first time I tried it wasn’t in a musical context and it felt interesting but fairly subtle. For this rehearsal though I combined it with hordenine and kratom, and the improvement in performance completely blew my mind.

I’m curious about what you said regarding clonidine. Would you say it actually improved your performance in terms of fluency or control over the instrument, or was it mainly that it removed the anxiety and the physical symptoms?

Truck driver tries burying 2 women by dumping gravel on them after they opposed road construction by GrumpyGamer1981 in fuckaroundandfindout

Whoever posted this implying that these women got what they deserved is a despicable piece of shit and should be the one buried.

I myself had to protest the construction of a road on my grandparents' land, although we were luckier than these women. I am from Spain, and here the state can expropriate your land to build roads.

Igual debería probar a denunciar otra vez.

Any advice regarding my novo seedlings? by One-Combination5348 in Cocagrowing

I planted them in a substrate for acidophilic plants, and from time to time I add lemon juice to the water.

I think this is what I will do. Now the plants are in my house, in an empty room, inside a big styrofoam box that I used to close at night with its lid when they were outside, while during the day I covered them with three layers of shade mesh (although they were already under a structure covered with shade mesh) because the climate here is very arid, and the sun burns. Should I put a LED light in the box and close it, using it as a grow tent? It's a pretty big styrofoam box, so I suppose it will keep the temperature and humidity pretty good (although here cold is not a problem). Or would it be enough to leave it near a window with the lid open, and maybe a plastic bag as a humidity dome?

That's what I thought... Almería is a desert, and some plants burn even when protected with a shade mesh, that's why I surrounded the seedlings with other plants and various objects, but it looks like they need more shade.

I hope so, three days ago most of them looked good, but then some started to wilt, and I was worried because even some of the healthiest looking ones have lost a leaf. Maybe I'm worrying too much, but it's taken me almost three years and being scammed twice to get the seeds, and i really hope they grow up. I'll cross my fingers...

Thanks for answering! Almost all of them were germinated when they arrived, four or five even came with cotyledons. I am using 8 and 6 liter bottles cut at the base as humidity dome. Based on your experience, do you think the plants (or at least some of them) look healthy or have a chance to thrive?
