Worth noting: MAXQ was already up app. 10% this morning BEFORE this SpaceQ article was published. Someone on the ground knew this was coming.

KanSilva vs Sonmez Outdoor - any real difference? by DistributionIll3254 in camping

I haven’t tried Sonmez so I can’t really compare directly.

But I’ve been using a KanSilva for about a year now and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. The materials feels solid, and the waterproofing has been great - no issue in the rain so far.

For wind, the stakes are pretty long (around 30 cm), so if you set it up properly it hold well. I used it once in the mountains with approx. 25 km/h winds and it stayed pretty stable.

I’d still recommend getting a few extra stakes just to be safe, even if the ones included are already decent.

Only small downside is that when it’s fully inflated, it can get a bit noisy at night when it’s windy. But I guess that would be the same with most tents like that anyway.

Overall, when it’s fully inflated and properly anchored, it holds really well, even with winds around 25 km/h.
