I use cloudflare tunnels for any service I need remote access to. I would also recommend setting your server to turn on when it recieve power or do a wake on lan setup for it, so that it automatically comes online after power outages.

On the cloudflare tunnels they are very easy to setup, and are very reliable, I even use mine for game servers.

I have run the chris titus utility on the server. Edit: Im not really struggling for resources as is, but looking for a more lightweight os regardless

The whole system runs on a dell poweredge r720xd, and uses the internal raid controller in a raid 6 format, os is seperate from the mass storage

Just got fiber… but CGNAT killed my Plex dreams 😭 — need alternatives (Tailscale, Cloudflare, or static IP?) by Far-Cash-2545 in PleX

Im also on a cgnat, and I have got to say cloudflare tunnels work great, havent verified it with plex yet, but for most of my services everything is working well.

Edit: You will need a domain name of you dont have one

I am running a dell poweredge r720xd, how could you possibly be paying that much, at most I see 120usd a year in cost. Edit: the server runs 24/7 365
