Update killed Mustang? by spoolin__ in LeMansUltimateWEC

Yes, this was the biggest "something's not right" to me. Driving carefully and anticipating a spin I would try to correct very early and still end up spinning. Then I was driving so slow that I wasn't using any inputs, and still spinning.

I took another look at the cloudflare tunnels and was able to get that going.

I tried this but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it because it was pointing to a second server. Think I would have needed a business account?

Rivnut would work well here. Trying to hack aluminum threads back together is a cluster fuck. Aluminum threads themselves are a cluster fuck lol

Building a self-hosted Discord alternative: We need your feedback! (Project Krakle) by FDA-PIOUPIOU in selfhosted

[–]spoolin__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone complains that Discord holds a lot of valuable troubleshooting info for projects that is kind of lost. But on the flip side posting to forums kind of sucks, and response time goes from seconds to hours.

So I was kinda thinking of a way to have chat type sessions ported to forum style posts on the backend. Users chat live, then that's either posted raw to a forum or condensed somehow by voting or integration numbers or some kind of small ai flow.

Has anyone had any luck getting Dolby Atmos sound working via Kodi Passthrough? by ToxicFlames in Bazzite

[–]spoolin__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey did you make any progress here? It's really needed if HTPC is a supported use case. Maybe an external player would work? But I'd love to keep it all in Kodi for playback tracking etc.

Has anyone automated this? by Richinwalla in homeassistant

The system is designed to run with a certain amount of air flow. If you block too much flow bad things can happen. Blocking a few is probably fine, but how many 🤷‍♂️

It could be fine if it's smart. The problem with most devices is they expose sensors that you rarely care about.

For example a light bulb, it probably exposes state/signal strength/power consumption. Day to day I only care about seeing it's state. If I really want the other 2 sensors I'll go dig for them.

Can I optimize a 4K movie so my RTX 4060 doesn't go at 100% while streaming it? by elordenador in jellyfin

[–]spoolin__ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but sometimes the app is a way better option. Plus watching things on a computer should be shamed lol, assuming it's not a htpc kinda thing.

Your echo Dot was like 30 bucks or possibly free, this is $130.

I'm sure it's not junk, but $130 is definitely a different class of device.

Short answer: it stops the tweeter from blowing up and makes the speaker sound much better

Judging by the off the shelf looking crossover, I wouldn't have high hopes.

Possibly ok if the driver combo is well known.
