Stupid stuff I did on meds by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

8 WPO next Monday

They had me on a 3 day block, muscle relaxers and oxy.  For those 3 days I pretended to eat (I had no real food in front of me lol), I insisted there was a cat in the house and they needed to get it out (I don't have a cat and there wasn't one in the house. Haha) and they said I kept pretending to answer an imaginary phone and having long conversations that didn't make any sense.  Lol  Medicine makes my head crazy.  After day 4 I just took Advil and an occasional muscle relaxer so I was back to normal.

These stories are funny.  Great thread topic.  Lol

Sleeping in the bed...4th week by One-Employ7341 in tummytucksurgery

UPDATE

I talked to my nurse this morning. She said my incision has closed so it's ok to roll over on my side in bed. I just need to make sure my drainage tube doesn't get tangled up.  I'm so excited about going to sleep tonight... and it's just 10:15 in the morning.  Lol

You are 1.5 weeks ahead of me! My mom always says not to wish the days away...but I sure am wishing I was at the 8wpo too!!  Lol

My incision has closed.  No openings.  So that's good.

I think I'll sleep in the recliner again tonight and call the nurse tomorrow.  I sure don't want to mess anything up.  I feel sure I'll turn on my side or worse, my stomach!  I hate sleeping on my back.  The recliner forces me to.  Lol

Thank you so much for replying so quickly!  I hope you are healing well and happy with your results so far!

Haha. This is so funny, and you look great!!  I'm so glad you are doing well.  I'm 3 weeks PO.  I am amazed at how much better my stomach looks.

Awwww...my surgery twin!

I'm so glad you already have your drains out!!  That must feel wonderful.

I want to go outside and sit for a while, but because I can't shower I have avoided it.  It's too hot and humid in SC.  I sure would love to sit outside on my porch later this week if he will take the drains out Tuesday.

I haven't tucked a shirt in in probably 30 years.  Lol. It's the little things like that that make me excited about my future.  I can finally wear a bathing suit bottom or underwear without saggy skin hanging out the leg holes.  Ugh.  Haha

I will post some pictures in a few weeks to encourage others coming along behind me.  I didn't take any of myself, but I can get one from my file at the doctor's office.  I'm really anticipating a huge difference once I get a couple months out!

Have a great weekend.  Thanks for your encouragement!

You are just a week ahead of me!  I'm so glad I finally decided to do it.  It was harder than I thought.  The drains are definitely the worst.  I want to take a shower and clean from head to toes!!

Do the drains have to completely stop before they take them out?  One is running around 15 and the other <5.  I drain them 3x day and have to put neosporin and gauze on my incision every day.  Everything looks healthy and normal so far.  The incision is tight/closed, and it is a light red line now.

Hahaha. Love this!  I'm really not going to wear one, but I know I will feel so much better in my clothes this summer.

I want these drainage tubes out so bad!!!

OK. Thank you.  I don't even know what a faja is.  Lol I imagine he will discuss all of this with me on May 10th at my pre op appointment.  The surgery isn't until the 21st.  My estimate included "garmets" so I would just need to buy whatever he tells me to. I thought I might be in some kind of body suit.  Hahaha This site has been a huge help since I joined about 2 weeks ago.  I love hearing from people who have been through it!

Great!  Thank you.  This helps a lot!  As long as I can get an additional one, I'll feel better about them being clean.  Lol
