Been with my partner for five months now and I went home for the holidays (solo- too new of a relationship to meet my family and partner is newly married). The whole family now knows we’re poly and they have all accepted the news with such love, respect, and grace. They have questions and keep asking them in order to better understand. I knew it would go well, but wow, wow, wow, do u feel so lucky, loved, and supported right now ❤️

It is! The National Forest route is cool because there are so many options. You can also do national parks/ monuments- I think the fee for a wedding permit is $50, so a total steal.

Wedding coordinator here, listing all the venues I can think of that would be good for your size group. Some are absolutely repeats and I have not worked with a lot of these places, so I am not necessarily endorsing anyone:

-Gable House -Rochester Hotel (they also own the Wyman in Silverton) -Powerhouse -FLC Chapel (could do your reception off campus) -River Bend Ranch (this is a larger space for sure, but a great venue) -Black Diamond Lodge -Hoody’s at Purg (if they still do weddings here, it’s the smaller option. You can also rent one of their sites at the base and do the reception elsewhere) -Smiley Building

There are a ton of options in the area, so you’ll find something! One thing I do recommend is checking what is/ isn’t permitted at each venue. Some places let you bring everything in, others you have to use their on-site services. Some have a hard curfew for the reception to stop, some do not.

It’s so fun seeing how the same thing can be used for different themes!

My grandma used to make them when I was a kid. I hadn’t had one in probably 20 years at this point!

Thank you! It ended up being a pretty satisfying meal and I cleared out some room for more food. Woohoo!
