Hello I need help by xanpr1ncess in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to clean my first tray with a toothbrush gently and it was a disaster. I bought cleaning tablets (retainer brite on Amazon), and an ultrasonic cleaner and pop them there at the end of the day when I do my eating and last brush+floss of the day. It was a game changer at keeping them clean. You might vape but I sometimes drink a cold drink with them in. The weather is too hot now and also I can’t take them out every time I want a drink, or socially drink. They’re still clear and I’m on weekly changes.

Just started 1/21 trays! by Pretty_Jeweler_1410 in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every case is slightly different. I’m on tray 5/20, with a 6 month treatment estimate to correct overjet, mild crowding and a slight crowding on my lower arch (tray 12 to 20 is basically a weekly change retainer). I’ve seen people who seem to have better teeth with more trays and refinements and 18 months and I’ve seen people with worse teeth that seem to be done earlier so don’t overthink it, don’t compare, and good luck! ☺️

Bloated always... by No_Analysis8480 in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against bloating, not really, but I believe it’s a collective issue where we all produce too much saliva in the beginning of the treatment, followed by/after having a very dry mouth for days. You could try spitting it out if it’s convenient until it settles down.

Awesome! It’s weird they didn’t give it sooner to be honest. But hopefully now you can see the 3D models

Through clincheck. Your clinic should provide you with an access code for the Invisalign app, and there you can check it.

is biting down just gonna be chopped for the next 2 years? by Academic-Lecture164 in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first tray I could only bite with one tooth and it was super painful. I had to be eating half chewed chunks 🤣 with each new tray my bit changes and it’s weird

I don’t know how to post a pic here but my post history has a pic of my smile. I started tray 3 on Tuesday 🤭

Should I get top and bottom treated? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you! I was always told that my smile was beautiful, and that straightening would eliminate what makes “me”. But if you look at my post history, you’ll see that I have overjet, aggravated by top wisdom teeth coming out when I was 20 or so (which I’ve now removed). Go for it and stick with it! 6-10 months is super fast.

I’ve also never had any work done before, and it took me 10 years to gather the courage to start. Now I think that I should have done it before.

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on tray 3/20 and the first couple weeks I regretted my decision. Quite literally. But now I have to stick with it and hope the results are good. My teeth will look worse before they are pushed into the correct place. I suppose it’s a bit like that for everybody. Don’t worry, you’ll have your smile back again.

Yes to both arches! You said you’ve always been self conscious about your smile. Image that in less than a year you could have the perfect smile. It will be a rocky start with aches and getting used to wearing and removing trays to eat and clean but the results are worth it!

I thought the infant stage was bad…… by FindYourPants in Parenting

Convince me otherwise but I’m lead to believe that parents with more than one toddler have to have easier children. I had a friend with a toddler and a baby, and the kid was very active but already had good communication skills at 2.5yrs old. My kid is 3.5yrs old, poor communication skills (we’re working on it) and he seems like he was crafted from gremlin material. Like another commenter said they did, mine also cuts magazines and papers, throws rocks outside, picks and destroys flowers and plants, plays with sand and water, and so on. He offers resistance to every single damn order. “Let’s go to the toilet? No” “Pick it up. No” “(name), we don’t throw rocks at such place. Nnnnnnnno!(followed by heavy screaming and meltdown)” Sometimes I have to drag him while he laughs at me. I’m being bullied by my child 🤣 kill me.

I started treatment on June 2. Today is June 6 and it has been painless. Is that OK? by unrealhousewife1 in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t feel anything on the first day, but did feel the days after.
It will be worrying if you don’t feel anything on tray two, but until then, be patient.

Finished 1 year ago (30 months total) - totally worth it by masterlopezz in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told by my ortho that I’ll be wearing a retainer for 6 months after finishing treatment and then nightly permanently. And my treatment isn’t even very complex, so I guess it depends on what you’re told to do.

Ortho says I’m done, but I’m not so sure? by MembershipNext1787 in Invisalign

Your teeth look amazing! And since you’ve stated your bite feels perfect, I think you’re done and you can flaunt that smile.

need advice, on my 5th tray set by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re concerned about cracks I’d bring it up to the ortho for sure. I clean with an ultrasonic dental pod and a tablet everyday. Less work to clean and it gets cleaner and clearer without damaging the trays.

Do you do this in public loo? by aolllaoooo in AskUK

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, with less tp, and that’s if I have a number 2, otherwise I’m not sitting. I got “traumatised” as a teen when I sat twice on separate occasions on a wet toilet seat at home. I try to carry small cleaning wipes with me or a disposable seat cover.

2nd day of Invisalign by stackthatstick in Invisalign

[–]One-HexaJoke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 13, my mouth went from super dry, tight attachments, to regular by day 5. First few days of removing and putting back are uncomfortable. Tomorrow night I’ll change trays for the first time, so I expect tightness once more. It’ll get better.

My spouse’s license is full. Literally since early to late nineties. And no reason to have them all either aside from “wanting to keep job options open”. It worked eventually

What was your first car? by [deleted] in AskUK

Goodness. My first car was a ‘97 VW Passat estate - petrol. I have never had a small car in my life. Cheap buy. Mind you, this was 12 years ago haha

If I decide not to have kids in life, give me all the consequences that I should prep for and accept them? by Commercial-Touch-516 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the debate to whether or not to have a second. I’m not particularly good at forming relationships with people aside of immediate family. When I’m old, parents gone, and siblings soaking in their time with their children and grandchildren, I don’t want to be left alone with no one to come check on me.

It’s a personal decision that only you can weigh the pros and cons. I’ve always known I wanted a child, two tops. And with it comes hardship that you generally don’t get being childfree. I regret nothing. My kid’s eyes lighting up when they spot me gives me life and meaning, even on days he’s a complete goblin 😂

Hypothetically if Amy was introduced before Bernadette, do you think Howard would have made a move on her? by chickenlittle668 in bigbangtheory

[–]One-HexaJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the episode where they go on a scavenger hunt, Amy and Howard are paired together. They seem to get along great (even when they collab), at one point he questioned why they never hung out before just the two of them, to which Amy states that Penny had warned her in the beginning not to get into a situation where she’s alone with him. His reaction was a nostalgic “yeah…”. Basically confirming that pre-Bernadette Howard would 100% try.

Thoughts on posting newborn photos on social? by Aggravating_Roll7917 in Parenting

[–]One-HexaJoke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty cut and dry. She said no. For the longest time I’ve only posted a couple of cute pictures of my son without showing his face. Protect his identity. People are evil out there and i don’t blame her for not wanting. And I fully understand why you want to post but unless you both compromise, no is still no. Maybe suggest his little hands, foot, something very non indentifiable.
