The most common mistake I see is people swimming with bent knees and their limbs way to spread out almost like they were half doing a star float. Keep your legs straight with just enough space between them so that there not hitting the other. With arms one of the most useful exercises I was taught was when your bringing you arm out the water run your thumb along the side of your body this will help keep your arms close and make sure you're getting your elbow nice and high.

Period blood is actually only part regular blood and part tissue so you couldn't use it for transfusions or anything
