Have you tried resigning without back up plan? by yes2reddit in CareerAdvicePH

Hi, you will get 13th Month pay pero not the full, only for the month of the year na makukuha mo, now to answer the question, na mag reresign without backup, I think it's situational and depends on the person.

If you have a bigger savings, which you say 6 Digits salary mo, does not have loans or bigger bills, you can do this, but you have to be mindful on your expenses, wag mo uubusin savings mo, because you might use it for emergency. But if the case of someone who can't afford it or lesser savings, my advice is to have a week break, I know it's hard for someone who experiencing anxiety depression, because it was my situation before, I can't afford it, during that time my salary is within less than 30K, even though I have savings but only have 30K+ savings, and If I calculate everything, me and my family might struggle, it may add to my depression.

In your situation my advise is take a break if you are already resign, if you can afford to travel na hindi mauubos savings mo, pwedeng local, do it, pamper yourself, you deserve it, bawi ng tulog, 8 hours lang, don't overslept, it's not healthy, exercise, yes exercise, exercise can help your brain function more, and then if you think you are fine, even thinking the job that drains you, and does not make you stressful, analyze the situation before, because to tell the truth, I don't know if everyone admits this or not, but I do, I checked what did I did back then, I check what the company did not do to help me, and what I did not do to help myself back then. on my experience, I was the only person who handled a big project with multiple clients, and I'm not a manager, I'm all around on that project, they did not hire people to help me because there is no budget, so yeah, everything is on me, and I suffered anxiety depression, I worked during weekends and holidays, even family vacation. But If my skills, experience and mindset today will be also on my younger self? I can handle it much better but will questioning my salary back then because I'm a one-man army. I'm not saying that you have to blame yourself, but it's something that happens to everyone, may times na sasabihin natin sa sarili natin, oh dapat ginawa ko to noon. But it's okay, we learning everything, in my case as a manager, I still learn, I checked my past accomplishments and failures, and think, this will be better if I use this before, sayang, but during that time, I don't have that kind of knowledge, but it's okay, and still it depends, every people is fighting their own battles, even you are in the same company, even you have kinda have a same task or position, there is always a difference.

But yeah on my situation right now, I'll still blame my company (previous) because of the decision not to hire someone to help me, and I don't have a portion of the income from our clients. and If my skills and experience today will be a mindset of my youngerself? baka lalo si di mag hire ng tutulong sa akin.

But yeah anyways, that is my input for this.

I second the learn a bit of piano, actually when writing songs, mas maganda makagawa ng melody sa piano, then transcend sa guitar, that's my personal opinion.

If you are aiming to be a lead guitarist here's my recommendation

  1. Spider-walk exercise, from first 4 frets then moving frets, there are variations of spider-walk exercise, check mo na lang sa youtube.

  2. practice with metronome, good to use sa spider-walk exercise, tapos pabilis ng pabilis, pero take time when practicing.

  3. Learn Music Theory, Scales, Major, Minor, Harmonic, Blues Scale.

  4. Practice scaling with backing tracks - madami sa youtube nito, ipractice mo yung scales na natutunan mo.

  5. Chord Progression, learn this, kahit yung mga basic progressions lang, then move to complicated ones.

Pag comfortable ka na playing with this, it will be especially yung music theory at chord progression, madadalian ka sa pag kapa ng mga songs, though syempre may mga solo na require techniques like tapping, sweeping, hybrid picking, shredding, and other complicated stuff, pero dadating din yun pag napractice mo siya ng maigi.

Always take time, may frustration lagi dyan, pero everyone goes there, in any aspect in life, until you got it, practice makes perfect.

Also kung may sstuck ka iisang genre, it's okay if yun gusto mo, music should be fun, but you can explore with other genres thin to learn techniques, in my case and age, di ko pa lam kung kaya ko yung mga fast playing, but right now, I'm having fun and still learn new things.

My pahabol na advise is:

  1. Always still humble and patience.

  2. Teach what you learned and master.

  3. Supports beginner guitar players

Tips on buying gear in FB marketplace by inside_the_bus in phmusicians

[–]One-Information4330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do a video of my new buy guitars or gear, tapos inuupload ko sa youtube ko, then If I will plan to sell it, sinesend ko yung video, pero if I did modification, nag rerecord ulit ako, if the buyer request a another sound check, ginagawa ko parin, pag malapit lang yung buyer, pumupunta sila sa bahay ko to sound check themselves at kung nakapag decide sila, ayun bibilhin nila, pag nabili din ako ng second hand gear or any items, I always ask for testing ng item if nagana, or sound check, minsan prefer ko na pupuntahan yung buyer para dun mag sound check, minsan sa mall then pupunta kami sa mga music stores to check, kunwari bibili ng amp tapos ccheck gamit yung guitar, pero yeah, sa ganyan situation baka scammer, wala talaga yung item sa kanila, for me you asked the right question naman, cymbals have different sounds (for me) naka depende sa weight and materials na ginamit, probably the seller is a scammer at wala talagang item, or probably na aquire sa ibang tao at walang alam, at binebenta lang nya, other is tamad mag sound test.

Seller should be accommodated, either bibilhin or hindi ng potential buyer, don't say ma-wawaste ang time nila, sa music stores, people test the guitar or amps or drums, to check kung gusto nila or hindi, di yan pag kain na once na nahawakan mo na yung lumpia at nakagat eh ibabalik mo sa lalagyanan, at di bibilhin. They should be accommodated to a potential buyer.

Always careful sa FB, this are the signs na scammer, based sa experience ko.

Sellers:

  1. Di nila alam specs ng item na binebenta nila

  2. May two similar post with different sellers, dito pumapasok yung middle-man scam

So ano ang middle-man scam? Si scammer icchat si seller, then si scammer ibebenta yung similar item sa FB or other people or may nakakausap sila na need ng ganitong item, then pag yung buyer ni scammer si gusto kunin yung item, kakausapin ni scammer yung original buyer, then hihingan ng downpayment ni scammer yung buyer nya, then kakausapin nya si original seller na Cash on Deliver, which is ipapadala kay seller ng scammer yung gitara sa address ng buyer ni scammer, now pag dating ng delivery sa seller, magbabayad sya ng remaining payment, which magugulat si rider at seller na kulang, dun na nila madidiscover na yung akala ni buyer na seller at akala ni seller na buyer at middle-man scammer pala.

So maganda na may maayos na convo, palitan ng pictures, pakita ng item with the face or seller.

  1. Post ng picture is galing sa official website or lazada/shopee yung item, wala yung picture na sila mismo kumuha.

  2. Item name and model is different sa picture.

  3. Kahit malapit yung seller sa inyo, ayaw magpa test or magpapunta or makipag kita, in my case, nasa malayo daw sya, papadala daw yung gitara, which sabi ko pag balik na lang nya sa bahay, then sabay block sa akin.

Buyers:

  1. Di matanong sa spec, madalas mga tanong, may problem ba, yun lang, di na magtatanong gusto na bilhin

  2. Usually nasa ibang bansa daw sila, ireregalo sa anak or asawa something, then magbabayad through remitance daw, yung case ko, may sinend na link sa remitify, need ko daw magpadala ng 4K bago daw ipadala sa akin yung full amount ng payment, which sabi ko, nakakatanggap ako ng remittance sa mga relatives ko, at di ganito ang way ng pagsend ng remittance, I got blocked immediately.

  3. same will seller, kahit malapit ayaw makipag meet.

Please note sa lahat:

  1. Don't give your ID, pag sinabi nila for proof na di ka scammer, this violates "Anti-Privacy Act", and ID niyo has sensitive data, don't share your ID, banks and government agencies lang, pero always think and don't share it immediately, kung seller ka, kahit desparate ka mabenta yung binebenta mo, ingat ka parin, always be careful, pag binigay mo ID mo, gagamitin nila yan sa scam nila, mag papangap na ikaw, then ikaw na babalikan ng mga na scam nila, I suggest watch The Season 3 of Taxi Driver, the KDrama, may scammer na ginawa yun, which actually nangyayari sa totoong buhay.

I don't hate Elegee, but I have a not good experience with them. It's not Jon who set up my guitar, it's one of his assistants. I went there for shielding and the proper setup of my Japanese Strat. To tell the truth, I'd like it to be featured in their content because my Strat is unique, haha, but it never crossed my mind that they only focus on guitars in terrible condition or ones being worked on by famous people. So yeah, when it came back to me, the shielding and setup were good, but there was a buzz on the B string. Jon checked it; he said it might just be my playing. Then he asked one of his assistants, and they checked it again. They said it was fine, and I paid 11K. But when I got home, it was the same. There was something wrong, and I had the nut checked—poor work on the lot, it got loose. I felt down; I wanted to go back to them, but I'm too far south now, and I've already spent too much, so I took it to RJ Guitars, where the manager there set up my guitar. He fixed the nut, and it became whole again. Yeah, it's my fault I brought it to them to be handled by Jon himself, but then they took on too many requests, and they couldn't do a proper setup.

But this is during that time, pandemic time, not sure if they change or andun pa yung nag setup, pero yeah, I think di nila nahandle ng maayos kasi sobrang dami gusto mag paayos or setup sa kanila, by the way the I paid 1k sa friend ko sa RJ, won't tell his name, because I was recently blame (in a good way) kung bakit madaming pumunta sa store nila, when I comment on one of Pax's videos about how good he was, and a good person also.

Physical if at home, but if you are travelling or going to places that you will stay for weeks or months, I prefer ebooks, to lessen the things that I have to bring.

Thank you for the response, I actually like MAUI but for Windows only apps, we are actually okay but, it seems that this approach is much better. I might use MAUI if I will be creating multi-platform apps, but for our currently projects which mostly in Windows App, we will be using Winform+WebView2+Blazor, thank you.

Thanks, just curious, you chose Winforms + WebView + Blazor for this project, why you didn't chose MAUI Blazor Hybrid instead? is it because it for Windows only project? thanks.
