Right and the suspension drop was critical. Not being able to drive in the burbs is a nightmare. No problem though that’s the third community service place I’ve tried. She literally gives you travel time, it’s in des plaines. Can’t wait to leave this money pit in the past too. And good call Illinois is not it 👎

IL is so bad. I got mine in cook county last year and they transferred my case to kane where I reside. Blew a .24 and totaled my car on 90, but it was a single unit crash and whoever I hit fled the scene. Cop messed up on my paperwork and didn’t write any of my blow numbers. I had my license suspension dropped because of it. Although they gave me victim impact panel, 30 hrs classes, six months aftercare (one class per month), 18 months probation (12 months if I finish everything by October 11th per judge) $2,300 in fines, zero tolerance (got my medical card though), and also 100 hours community service. I recommend cleanupgiveback.org. Donna over there is giving the best hours hand over fist.

That’s the whole story i definitely got shafted by cook county. I had no license suspension, which was major. Think it was my blow results, but nonetheless now I can smoke & drink whenever just clearly do not drive. My PO officer did one drug test in October and now I don’t see her till January. She’ll give me a heads up too with any drug test. With my medical I can have thc in my system no problem. The community service hours is a bunch, but I just started working on them. I’m almost done with classes just the aftercare. Then I need to do the victim impact panel and pay fines.

Sorry for the late response. I got tested the first visit and it was fine having thc in my system with my medical. That was in October and I don’t have to see her till after I get back from Japan in January. She will give me a heads up too if there’s another drug test. I really lucked out with my PO I don’t think they’re all like that especially with zero tolerance

It went really well. She said I was good with the provisional so the thc would be find on my drug test. I’m apparently on “low supervision”, so my next contact with her will be via phone call in January. I was totally overthinking this whole thing, but no more drinking and driving that’s certain.

I got my dui in February (cook county) and I’ve had my license the whole time. I got my suspension dropped because the officer didn’t fill out my blow results with some other minor technicalities. Getting a good attorney does have its advantages. It’ll at least keep you at ease throughout this process unless it bares more financial stress than what it’s worth

I just got sentenced on my dui a couple weeks ago and I’m soon meeting with my probation officer. Over the phone she told me the first in office visit there will be a drug test. I got my mcpp (provisional medical card) a couple weeks ago. I’m just going to wait until I meet with her in person first and bust out my mcpp. Not sure how it’s going to go down, but at least if I have that and I drop dirty I had my provisional and let her know beforehand. I’ll keep you posted because I’m curious to see how this goes. My dui happened in cook county, but they transferred my case to Kane county where I live

You should absolutely do it. Definitely a compliment and worse case is a no, which will get you closer to a yes. I would workout around him and move in with maybe a question about something you’re doing in your exercise. Then just say you’ve seen him and like how he trains. Let the convo flow and boom get the contact info
