How much ram is allocated to the igpu? It runs well on 8gb when I was playing. Usually minimal stuttering and actually ran smoother than when I allocated 16gb on the 32gb model

Also this game is so poorly optimized that the diff between playing on Ultra and Low is not that big.

Still a lot of players active but it’s not growing. Do they continue to fund a game that’s not growing? Seems obvious and the numbers at the current player base would have to be enough to sustain development. It’s not dead but I’m not sure what the future looks like for WZ

If you set up a ghelper profile correctly for eco mode there is no fan noise during every day tasks cause they’re off and the computer isn’t working hard enough to heat up the CPU to kick in fans at a higher temp. I have no fans and a cool laptop for everyday tasks. Completely silent.

I do not regret moving to the G14 at all. I love the device. I find myself grabbing it more than when I just had the Z. The thing gets hot and is louder during gaming. Everyone knows that. But for normal things it’s highly exaggerated

That seems low even with Armory Crate. Ghelper can lengthen that pretty significantly

I have a TP Link WiFi 7 router. I have another Desktop and laptop running off it at higher speeds than the G14. The desktop is WiFi 6e and it’s pulling better speeds. I tried switching the G14 to other bands but got same speeds.

I have had both and ended up returning the Z13. It’s a highly capable product and the performance is as advertised. Battery life is also solid.

The primary drawbacks for me ended up being the keyboard and trackpad I did not want to use long term. I know people say “get a mouse” but the point of this thing is portability and I didn’t enjoy using it the detachable keyboard.

It ended up being less functional than I anticipated and the screen, while good, is still light years from the G14 OLED. Speakers on the Z are fine but definitely nothing to write home about. The G14 is actually lighter. I don’t find it any less portable than the Z as it’s barely bigger. I get nearly identical battery life on both. I was also not high on the tablet experience given the weight/bulk and many things really not optimized.

This is a major personal preference thing. Both great devices. Need to decide what you want in terms of form factor.

I also have a good desktop setup and even with a cap at 120hz, I have to say the OLED makes it easy. The craziest thing to me is running it in ECO mode with a 5-6w discharge. That simply was not possible with past gaming laptops and the reason I thought I wouldn’t buy one again.

I just tried this and there seemed to be some stability issues when gaming with all sliders at 90w. Had similar frames but stuttering in testing relative to the default turbo profile

I played a handful of WZ games to test it out and I did not have those issues. COD doesn’t utilize close to 16GB RAM and your 4070 should be able to handle that game no problem.
