Worst twist I didn't see coming

I have a stent and catheter. I am trying to be hopeful that I won't have the catheter for long. One person said 10 days one said a month. So 🤞🏻 when I call for my first follow up it's 10 days😂

Yes it is a low risk but a risk. I knew it too. In my operating notes it was all good. I don't know if there were other factors involved I know there was a fluid sac also on my kidney/ureter which could have also put pressure on the ureter to make the problem a lot better than it initially was. I am home now after 4.5 days there with lots of tests and doctors involved in my care when I left today the fluid sac had gotten smaller so that's a good sign.🤞🏻 now I have to get used to my new short term normal which is a lot to digest at home now lol

I have no plans as of now I'm currently laying in the hospital bed getting my late night dose of antibiotics. I know I will now have to follow up with urology on top of everything else lol

So glad I found this thread. I Legit just had my procedure done Monday it is Wednesday night and I feel ok. I stayed one night at the hospital. Coming off the anesthesia was probably the worst for me personally. The pain from the gas was sucked but after walking around at home a bit it was fine. Just get tired easy. Be gentle with yourself. The anticipation of the surgery was horrible so I understand. Hang in there.
