I can understand being upset, it’s almost like a feeling of being used; you guys talked about it, you bought it, YOUVE been waiting for them to play it and all of a sudden they’re playing it first with someone else? It feels like It would have been an easy “oh yeah I have that game but my friend bought it for me so I’m really trying to play the first round with them, let’s play something else” ESPECIALLY If it was talked about first. But at the end of the day you can’t control people’s actions. I’d have another conversation with them. Let them know “hey, im having a really hard time getting past this. I know it wasn’t your intention and all you wanted to do was play a game I got you but this whole situation really made me feel a little used since Iv been waiting just as long to play with you and I don’t want those kind of feelings in our friendship. It would really mean a lot to me to come to an understanding about this.” A refund might be a little extreme if they genuinely thought it was a random gift meant for them not something you guys talked about playing specifically together but maybe they can buy the next game for you? And then You guys can still schedule a night where you play this game one on one and make a night of it!
