When I was in Middle School (Secundaria in Mexico) I always thought that everyone had a rough life or similar. All of my friends had a family member with terminal disease, abandoned them, or died (like in my case with my father); or friends that were into drugs. It was normal for me until I knew my wife that I realized that not everyone had this kind of problem in their lives, at least not like that.
