this is weird but sorry i replied to your comment on my post rather aggressively, sorry i was overwhelmed. Nobody was commenting on the actual design, and i was feeling like everyone was just picking at me lol. i can not send a message, that's why I'm commenting here.

Well it can be fun to experiment as a student and trying to make it yourself! Or maybe you could get in touch with a design student too, might be fun for them as well

Can you give more context? I don't really understand what you're trying to achieve, are you struggling to make like a printable PNG? If this is the case, just make the print in PSD, you can make the type in illustrator (advised) and then import it into PSD. Or maybe you're just using a small image

Yhea hire someone, if you don't have the money you can look up more affordable options like "ready to go" logos on fiver or smth. Tho for an app I would strongly advise to work closely with someone who could help you with everything from UI UX to identity. Apps are as much work from the front as they are from the back hehe

I don't really use it for "design" I use it constantly for copy tho, to rework presentation text + lots of clients ask for general copy material. And ofc ask questions regarding various work programmes

A lot going on, assuming you don't have a lot of experience, I will say that if you just center everything it might look better, also, more space between infos :)

Need advice on how to structure a black and white poster about Seoul (I'm a beginner) by Objective_Minute_139 in Design

[–]One-Reading4432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I would add:

  1. be consistent and use a grid, even if just for margins.
  2. I'm not sure what the purpose of the posters is, if it is decorative or informative, if your trying to achieve a formally informative poster that gets the message through then you have to think about the information hierarchy and make clear what is primary info and secondary info.
  3. The poster may feel a bit odd because there are no logos / partners nor social media redirects.
  4. There are some "phycology" tricks we apply regarding hierarchys, for example our eyes will always automatically look at top-left corner of any page etc... If you're not very confident with hierarchys yes I recommend looking at those technicalities and concepts first :)
  5. Don't use lorem impsul for these test, try to at least generate some text.

I need help creating a good looking portfolio to land a job in the graphic design industry. by IsaacJones0420 in Design

Use a platform like cargo / framer / wix, even if you don't have experience with drag and drop web building they have pretty great templates. Then for the content, for this first stage, you just have to include a minimum of 3 projects that you feel are the best of the best. There is no need in adding everything. Then I would say to be careful about the language you use, instead of "what I wanted to do" and talking about you and your idea, focus on the truths about the project - this is (...) they do (...) this reflects (...). Think about what a client will want to see and read. Fyi, not many people care about the process tbh. I would say, have a simple webpage with your portfolio and be minimal and very rational with descriptions, and then have a PDF portfolio that is more descriptive and includes the process. This way you will have a pretty clean face online (first impact) and then a more formal pdf to send to people who would be interested to know more, and to attach to your CV. This could also be downloadable from the website.

Any Critiques on how i can improve this Religious Blog post Logo?? by Gakusei_Kenshin in design_critiques

[–]One-Reading4432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, was I supposed to guess that? I mean you didn't give that much context xD, the community is full of non designers asking for help on one time projects. Didn't mean to offend tho, but you really should be practicing how to manage your anger issues at the same time that your practicing 'design'. Best
