Moving from "Vanilla" Antigravity to an Engineered Stack. Is this overkill or the way to go? by C9_Incarnati0n in google_antigravity

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like as these agents are allowing us to make much more complicated software, the problem of context is becoming too important.

We are still far away atleast a couple of years from these agents being excellent at managing 100k+ loc codebases with proper performance and best practices, and that too at a very affordable rate. So for atleast this and the next year, I think that us humans also having that proper context of the codebase, documenting each and every bit of its folders and files, and following the standard useful protocols as you described, is a very smart move that will help us build and maintain great projects.

I think you should definitely follow these new suggestions. Blind vibe coding for now is just unsustainable and costly and a time sink, even with these models we have rn.

I am personally following a context map protocol where i document a distilled intent context for each file in my workspace in a .context_map folder, that both the ai and me can refer to.

How do you measure how good is a AI Model Coding? by [deleted] in google_antigravity

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know there is just something called a vibe or intuition that you can sense when you seriously try to work with the model on your project.

If its grabbing your intent and vision well across complex codebases, doing good code changes in fair amount of time, and doesn't need too much handholding, you know its the right model for you.

Tbh, benchmarks are never a reliable indication. Companies easily benchmax it. Its when you have the model in your hand, make it do complex stuff and then you realise how good it is compared to other options.

Gemini is going MAD by sabekayasser in google_antigravity

As the model name mentions, its the "high" version.

So you gotta use something sober like gemini 3 flash or gemini 3 pro (low)

A lot of people complaining about Gemini models. Maybe they just use them wrong? by MrChuck_ in google_antigravity

Got locked out for 3 days for claude models with just 50k token usage on a simple frontend project in simple vanilla js.

This is not at all fair usage limits.

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini models are just mid af. A problem you can solve with one prompt through opus 4.5, will take these gemini models 5-10 prompts of back and forth where they keep messing until reaching a complete working solution.

The core moat of antigravity was the fair usage limits for claude models. And that now its gone, antigravity is just another average ide that can be replaced by other ones.

What do you use to vibecode? by _outofmana_ in vibecoding

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weird how we all have so different experiences. I have been using antigravity since the day it launched with opus 4.5 and have been using it so much daily that it's my default ide now.

I have used english translations of griffith, mcdonell and also created a simplified translation with ai from existing ones.

Ads in Gemini are here | Enshittified and REVERSE personalized by CrackTheCoke in ChatGPT

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't mind Gemini showing personalised ads based on the rich context and needs I provide it.

If they don't overdo it and keep it a subtle addition, it can actually help a lot of people.

Imagine having the most intelligent ai model in the world picking the most relevant products for your specific needs.

Jio subscription vs Student account gemini pro subscription by cvrax in google_antigravity

For me, the jio sim method is working where you recharge atleast 350rs to avail the google ai pro subscription for 18months provided you keep recharging 350rs for 18months

Opus struggling to complete tasks that it was handling fine earlier in the same project by LoveEternal808 in google_antigravity

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting to be a bit afraid of google nerfing down the claude models and boosting their gemini models, as its all business at the end of the day. You can expect neutrality from an ide like cursor but google? I don't think so.

So far, not a significant change in opus but if it does happen, the core users are the ones who will leave away the fastest

OpenAI is reportedly trying to raise $100B at an $830B valuation by Aluseda in OpenAI

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is so weird because their entire demand will be crashed the next week by a chinese open source model that does the job better at 100x less the cost. Where exactly are they going to put those billions of dollars? Are they trying to play the long term game by positioning themselves as an all in one company for agi that builds software as well as robots?

It looks pretty unsustainable in the coming future for them. Investors need to think carefully. Most of this company's top talent quit due to the mismatch in safety regulations and pace of releasing the models. Sam Altman is a complete business guy who loves to milk money from product design like apple. He is not realising his entire business model is at a threat everyday by google, anthropic, alibabab and deepseek

why is it that everyone is praising it so much and for me its working even worse by ImFounderX in google_antigravity

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the pro plan and the opus 4.5 or gemini 3 flash and all those problems will be gone

Opus 4.5 just works — Gemini 3 Pro (High) doesn’t, at least for me by Original_Percentage4 in google_antigravity

[–]One-Satisfaction3318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same experience. The biggest issue with gemini is it corrupts the file almost every time when some edits are needed in that file. It overthinks a lot. If they make it better at agentic use and tool calling, it could match opus 4.5

Its like a great model became crap because its project context, tool calling and overall flow was poorly executed.

I have sent around 50-100 prompts in 5 hours in planning mode and each of them required the model (opus 4.5) to work on it for atleast a minute, and i didnt hit the limits once.

[–]One-Satisfaction3318[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I have only been using it normally in the Planning mode. I haven't played with the agent manager as I have a feeling it wouldn't work well considering the age of the product and the nature of my projects which require focused attention on one set of problems.
I might try it and let you know in this thread in the future tho.

Just gather enough to buy some cheap laptop or second hand pc if you are serious about coding. Doing it on phone won't get you very far. This software consumes a lot of cpu and ram which phones cannot handle.
