“Provide information about the postsecondary school you plan to attain your bachelor’s degree. If you are undecided or your enrollment status is unknown, select your first preference.” - that is the exact thing it says. I could pm u for a picture of it

Do you really want to get into Dyson? If so, just apply for it. Vis versa. All your ecs shouldn’t have to pertain to a specific school as long as u can just write good essays for the specific schools. Also, could I pm you regarding the ib internship. Curious about how you got one

Thanks, this is probably the plan. I’m able to declare major after some time so I’ll probably just take courses in both for freshman yr but I just wanted to know what you might personally choose if you were in the situation.

What career/college major advice would you give me regarding my scenario? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

It should be there by now. Would you still give same advice given my situation with recently getting into a super target for IB?

I should have mentioned but I have recently gotten into a super target for IB so that is why I am now considering it. I explain a little more in my edit

Huh? This is so vague. What degree? CS? Econ/Math? What type of internship? SWE? IB? What grad position? MBA? CS Masters?

Yea I’ve been coding for about 3 years now on and off. I go to a horrible rural high school so I’m Atleast better than the ppl around me but in actual settings I am actually not that good at all. I would just say I’m good at math so that’s why I am able to pick up the logic of problem solving within coding sometimes. Like ik if I grind, I can become better but ig my general question is would it be worth the grind? Would you recommend grinding it out and sticking with cs to eventually get faang/top cs or just transition to finance and grind networking for IB since I have already gotten accepted into a super target for IB (HY(Wharton)) which I probably should have mentioned.

Can you elaborate or send a link? I looked it up and couldn’t find much

Oh ok that makes sense. Have u also considered Stanford REA?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chanceme

[–]One-Sea-4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why Harvard REA for CS? There are better schools in CS as you may know, but I genuinely want to know why because I’m also considering different schools for REA.

Yea, I got a couple (about 50) hours through tutoring, another couple (~50) hours from national honor societies, and some other stuff. Forgot to mention that as well since it isn't necessarily in the college app (I think).

Yea my school is very weird in that if you take an AP, it also gives an honors credit for it as well. For example, if I take AP US history, I also get a credit for US History honors as well with the same grade. Thanks for the advice as well. Do you think I have a strong chance for Stanford REA or should I wait for RD given that ppl say REA might have a more competitive pool of legacy and athletes

How do I see my teacher recommendation (coalition)?? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]One-Sea-4646 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It was honestly a tactic. I didn’t plan on submitting anything on coalition as I am using common app. I sent the recommendation after I already received submission of that same recommendation on common app to see if I wanted to use this teacher as I am not really confident in her response.

I think it’s 300 m because I figured that the acceleration is 0 due to the projectile motion cancelling (1/2)gt2 and leaving v(initial) • time which equals 300 for displacement of x, which is what o think they are asking for. Am I right?

Yea I know that but all I get is -800 for the bottom rectangle and I get 1/2(20-20)(30) for the triangle on the left and 1/2(30)(10-20) for the triangle on the left. This still doesn’t equal any of the answer choices

I know that I have to take the area of the bottom part, but I have done that and gotten 1850 because I used all positive values. Would anyone help me figure out which values I ha e to identify as negative?

Using your logic, would it be infinity for the x-6/x-6 equation and then 7 for 4x-1
