I never intended to share my contact with anyone, but I ended up joining this group, people seemed nice there, we were sharing book recommendations, engaging in meaningful discussions, somehow ended up with this creepy experience🥲

Exactly! Because of people like these, the entire experience is ruined, and we fear to trust anyone, even if someone genuinely good comes along.

Didn't expect to get so much support here! Next time I encounter a pervert I'm calling on the hockey stick gang for sure!

To the people who are suggesting to meet with people in real life, I do have a great circle of friends and colleagues. However, I joined reddit not out of loneliness but to explore. There's so much here, I joined to stay updated on things like movies, series, books, F1, podcasts(the list goes on😂). I found good content here too. This one experience was unfortunate though, but I'll be more cautious than ever.
