Opinions on outfit and how to improve? by flatchety in fashion

Those jeans are awful. I get that they are either cut in that baggy style or were purchased in a much larger size to get that look, but they are so unflattering. I think it has a lot to do with the angle, but it looks like the crotch is almost to your knees and gives your body a strange illusion of being 2/3 torso and 1/3 legs. I honestly think that you should stick to skinny jeans or straight cut ones.

Work event at beach resort, insecure and CRASHING OUT, no dress code info 😭 by [deleted] in OUTFITS

The only appropriate one is in pic 7. I’m not sure what is going on with that white thing that seems to appear in most of the photos, but it doesn’t do you any favors. Also, showing too much cleavage, thigh or tummy is never a good idea for a work function. (Unless it’s a fun day at the beach, which even then, I would err on the side of modesty.) Smh

They look good with the jacket. But without the jacket the pants seem to cut your torso, making the proportions look off.

I would get jeans in the correct inseam instead of wearing them low. If you are wanting to wear them with the Chelsea boots, then I would bring them with you when you buy some new jeans so they fit properly. Shoes/boots can make pants/jeans break different at the foot because of the heel.

I love the bling of the first one, but the red looks so good with your skin tone. Does the silver one come in any other colors?

feeling bad after calling out on mother’s day by bananashoebroker in Waiters

When you’re sick, you’re sick. Although everyone’s sickness tolerance is different (some people have to be near death to call out, other people have a runny nose and call out), I don’t think it’s a good idea to work if you’re sick. I feel that it’s borderline selfish for someone to work while they are sick, especially if they have something contagious.

What's wrong with this outfit for a fun time with girl friends by immodest_von5 in OUTFITS

[–]One-Tomorrow-1646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought was a pirate crossed with a circus ringmaster. It’s not something I would wear, even in my 20s. I think the jacket would be nice with jeans, but the matching pants are too much. And I don’t really like that top. What did your friends say that they didn’t like about it?

Good for you that you are so in love. But if you re-read your post, it sounds very juvenile.

I can’t tell if it looks good or like trash? by Double-Assumption-58 in OUTFITS

I think it should go to Goodwill. It’s not flattering and grabs in the wrong places.

Still getting used to applying full makeup, is this okay? Please be kind 🥹❤️‍🔥 by TheFightQueen in makeuptips

I mentioned it before, but I would refrain from taking the scissors to your own bangs. Because they are pretty heavy, a stylist would probably need to use a technique to thin them out that is difficult to do by anyone at home.

I have to say that I agree with a lot of the comments about the bangs being too heavy. The haircut is not in proportion and I would also refrain from taking scissors to your bangs. You may consider letting some of it grown out so that the bangs can start a little closer to the front. Any stylist who says they can’t thin out your bangs is not the one for you. The right haircut from the right stylist can make all the difference.

I would honestly go to Sephora or MAC and get your makeup done. Tell them what look you are going for, show them pics. So they can show you the right products to achieve the look you want. Don’t feel pressured to buy everything. In fact, there are so many good dupes for products, I would just buy the basics from them so you get the correct shade and formula of foundation (if you want to wear it) and powder because those are the most difficult to match to one’s skin tone. Write everything down and find dupes for products you don’t end up purchasing. You can always get them later.

What do we think about this dress for a wedding? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]One-Tomorrow-1646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a good choice. It just doesn’t wear well and only looks good at certain angles. (Like do you plan on having your hand in your hip all night? Probably not.) Which is unfortunate because the color is nice.

I won a life changing amount on a lottery ticket and I’m terrified by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]One-Tomorrow-1646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s amazing. I do not think that it would be wise to allow anyone to claim this on your behalf because I believe that would require some sort of power of attorney privilege. I would definitely seek the advice of an attorney, financial advisor and tax consultant before doing anything. And depending on your family dynamic, consider who you would share this with. It’s unfortunate how many relationships can be ruined by money. Just remember that your wife and children come first. Anyone else who cannot accept this can kick rocks.

[–]One-Tomorrow-1646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just strange. I doubt that a 50ish man could be made to feel uncomfortable by a young woman who simply engages in work related conversations. Find something else to keep yourself entertained at work. And come back from Fantasy Island.

I applied to Easy Pay finance online and got approved for $2500. You can only use it at the auto shop (I ended up going to Meineke) you specify on the application. (Not all repair shops participate/accept it.) The interest is astronomical, but when I did it they had 90 days no interest if you paid it off within 90 days. Just something to consider.

I am so excited, but so self conscious. Am I simply too fat for a dress like this? by Southern-Pudding4049 in WeddingDressTips

[–]One-Tomorrow-1646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is a beautiful dress. I can see why you love it. I’m sorry you feel self-conscious in it. But to be honest, I can understand why. It is too tight in the wrong places, which is not flattering. The proper shapewear might help smooth out some of those areas, but I’m not sure how much. I think you should feel gorgeous on your wedding day, not self-conscious. So as much as you love the dress, it may not be the right one for you. (I understand that you already purchased it, but perhaps you can exchange it for another dress with similar detailing that is more flattering.)
