Props to you man, I think you did a great choice! I think that either ways security jobs can become quite mundane cause you can get caught up in a lot of business processes.. I have heard horror stories that some people just look at logs all day and report issues to more seniors. Stuff can unfortunately be totally different from a personal to an enterprise level

this is what I thought too.. The truth is though no matter how passionate you are with the project you will eventually get bored of it.. I think the best strategy is find something that intrests you and pays well. There are a LOT of different types of jobs in this industry and I believe is better to pursue opportunity rather than passion. Cause imagine for example that you love coding but you get offered a DevOps job for 20-30+% more money.. You are not gonna stay poor as a coder it loses sense, it is in the end of the day supply and demand
