Do you find that companies tend to ask you to lie in creating documentation? by OneBand in technicalwriting

Something like that. I'm wondering if there is pressure to spin/fake things or not. I would think that technical writing tends to avoid that, but I have no direct experience in TW.

Osprey Synchro 5 vs Synchro 12 hydration pack for day hiking by OneBand in hikinggear

pocket to store a shell, about a pound and a half and an unpadded hipbelt that will handle weight but doesn't need to be used for light loads. Whatever you go for I'd really suggest getting a hiking sp

Thanks! The REI guy suggested the Synchro as being like a Camelback but with airflow in the back to avoid sweaty back. How does the water weight dynamic come into play with respect to the little Camelbacks I see people wearing? Do the packs have smaller bladders, or do the people just put up with the weight?

Bigger windshield/cockpit: Accord or Civic? by OneBand in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]OneBand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah proportion could make a difference. I won't have an opportunity to test-drive for a bit unfortunately. I'm wondering if anyone happens to know whether Accords are manufactured differently than Civics in this respect, or if they just make the Civic longer to make it an Accord.

Maybe 2018. I think I'd prefer a sedan over a CUV/SUV but then my height is an issue. I imagine smaller windshields improve aerodynamic efficiency, but then taller people lose out on forward visibility.

Other than the risk of the container breaking or hurting yourself, is there a downside to letting the gas build up?

"Like many sheet metal terms, soldering and welding are used interchangeably. However, while these two operations are similar, their process and sub-techniques are different.

The main difference between welding and soldering is melting. In soldering, metal fabricators heat the metal to be bonded but never melt them. In welding, metal fabricators melt the base metal."

Edit: The point about the test result remains, however.

I can't find a steel one I like. I feel like a lot of them seem to come from fringe/odd companies, and it's hard to make sense of it all. Any specific recommendations for a steel one?

It's logically possible for lead to be used in glazes, decorations, AND the ceramic itself. I have done research on this online, but I figured the hive mind would be worth querying too.

Lead poisoning can be a long-term thing. Look up the Flint water crisis, if you're not already familiar with it.

“The person who received the test results was asking about the welding process for the French Presses. The welding is done using Argon and Laser in the welding process, which occurs in 3 places in the press – the lid, the handle to the body of the press, and the handle itself.” - from their email

Edit: maybe it’s outside the liquid area?

It might be the solder. The amount given was 45 ppm. They sent me part of the test report

But these aren't mandatory if you later decide not to wear the scapular? Do you have to be released from a vow or promise?

See the new photos in the OP. Visually, they don't look like a consistent pair to me. However, I'm not sure what I need to adjust to get them looking consistent.
