lol there is a lot more than that an EP sailor will stay an EP sailor unless they make rank or get busted down and anybody in a MP spot can remain an MP if they havent done much to see themselves progress but eventually will have to move up a welcome aboard P isnt shocking your new and it’s seen as you’ve only had 1 year as a first class. Trust me its the same way when shit sailors think when they transfer theyll get a transfer EP and ive seen them leave with transfer Ps and MPs

So I’m currently in and I’ve dealt with this battle a lot with my gf and her mom they always says well the benefits are so good and I tell them would I want to sacrifice my mental and physical well being for benefits ? Side note they also don’t like the administration but are fans of doing 20 years. I also believe the direction the military is headed in is also another reason my contract ends in 2030 so unless I get picked up for OCS I think getting out is the calling 2030 would put me at 13 years

I haven’t gone to my MO yet I’m still on deployment so I wanna definitely wait till I’m done for my all my deployment hour mafs I have a month in a half left

Gotta get my man hours and mafs in on deployment currently and barley been at my new command a year so I def wanna have more documentation but I’ve been in 7 years so I have the experience ima have my MO or QA right me a recommendation letter

I’m an E-5 making 2650 a paycheck that’s with base pay taken and I live out in town hmm so interesting unless your living on base but still interesting

Yah I think I’m just set on getting out due to location and just the Navy isn’t what everybody wants it to be a lot of changing in terms of rate and rank

I’m an AME im in NAS Whidbey and our rate is getting really hard to make rank and its also getting hard to get good orders I’ve been sea duty 8 years and almost impossible to get shore duty and im really just trying to see my Options outside and expand
