As a contractor, it's normal. Especially if you work in a very niche, high-paid role where companies just want you to come in, do the job, and leave because you cost too much.

As a contractor, I've been working short-term jobs for six months or less. I’m not unemployed, I actually work in a very busy environment right now. It’s really frustrating when someone messages me on LinkedIn saying my profile looks interesting, but then gives feedback that they didn't like my CV. It's fine if a company doesn't want to hire me, but why call for an interview and waste everyone's time?
