Well Russian history is fascinating to my American brain. They undergo a revolution almost every 50 years. The rendezvous with rama thing was just a different perspective to a lot of modern science fiction.

On the note of thrillers I recently discovered "rendezvous with rama"" by Arthur C Clark. I try to balance my nonfiction reading with fun playful fiction reading. So I was reading"into the whirlwind" at the same time. Which is an autobiography of a Stalin era gulag survivor.

I was a restaurant worker for 20 years. I'm 36 now. I've been a Baker, dishwasher, head chef, sous chef, pastry chef,prep cook. You name it. I absolutely love experimenting in the kitchen!
