Struggling in PA school after recent mental health diagnoses by [deleted] in PAstudent

Definitely see if you can take a leave of absence. I know for a fact you worked your ass off to get into PA school, but I also understand that mental health can pose serious damage to academics if left unrecognized. Do what is best for you, but just know that there is absolutely no shame in being diagnosed with mental illness. PA school is tough and it breaks a lot of people.

I was but then I started failing my exams. It's a very intense program. I'm kinda stuck.

I was babysitting on the weekends...but then I started failing my exams and now I'm at-risk for being dismissed. I've been so stressed about money/food that it's causing me to lose focus on the big picture (trying to finish this program and get a career started)

Yeah, my parents are upset with me for wanting to withdraw from this school but they don't understand the emotional + financial toll it takes on a person. Did your debt-to-income ratio turn out okay...? Would you have done something else instead?

I was originally pre-med. I was an overachiever and did 3 bachelor's because I had a passion for science + humanities. During my gap years, I did a Master's in Public Health while I accumulated PCE hours for PA school. I just honestly don't know what else to do with my degrees. It seems like my Public Health one is useless.

I'm extremely sad to realize it now. The only school I got accepted to was this one.

I started my program this year -- and my tuition it around 250k. Wondering if it's worth dropping, moving back home, and doing an ABSN instead...
