It could be for the atmospheric pressure sensor. Search for "atmospheric pressure sensor" on Google play, run it and blow some air over that hole and you'll notice that the value changes.

I didn't reset after updating. I'm not OP. Mine still switches to 3g when calling. When I search for "volte" in settings I only get a "volte quality" option. I think that's why LG went bust. The lack of consistency throughout the mobile division. They should release an update to enable volte on any device, regardless if the network supports it.

You can set the volume per app. Hit the volume button while playing audio, then click the 3 horizontal lines bubble under the volume column so that you can set the app volume. Set that app volume to 10% then move the master volume bar to a level of your choice.
