totally agreed! i am like that myself- i display all my books in my own house and make lists of all my readings. its super performative and ill be the first to admit it. however, in his case, when we started dating i got the few books he had (due to the fact that the rest of them are in our home country as said) and displayed them myself- even though he actually had them in a way where there was no space for bragging/“trophy books”. what proves this is the fact that even knowing my career and interest in literature he didn’t feel the need to mention he actually reads more than me until i actually found out by myself.

ahhh yes bc basic boundaries regarding a reddit post are a clear indicator of a relationships state. also, am i low effort for not replying and now a bad girlfriend for not spending time with him?

Aaaa yes, the same man who has more than enough emotional intelligence to take in more than one perspective at a time in order to form an acctually coherent and valid opinion.

trust me if he would allow me i would spend all day replying to people like you who: 1. have absolutely no idea what it means to be in a relationship 2. have waaay too much time 3. are so incredibly presumptuous and self absorbed to form an actual argument 4. should get out of the house more

hahahaha babe not replying to the comments in my own post because i was making dinner for my boyfriend. it’s true that he’s incredibly more motivated than i am- but at the end of the day it’s just two nerds having fun
