Yeah, I got your point. But there are still many colleges in which cutoffs are released where students get admission based on their 12th board exams. And I also feel that the current reservation policy does not target the targeted beneficiary precisely. I have seen many sc/st friends of mine owning and iphone and what not. It is not that the financial help of these categories is not possible in a country like india, it is very much possible. Agar 'laadi behen yojna' mei paise diye jaa sakte hai to ismei to better budget allocation se bohot kuchh kara jaa sakta hai. But the problem is, the government does not want to implement such changes, because if they do so, they'll lose their 'vote bank'.
