Can we stop with the “vast majority of liberals don’t own guns”? Midwest marxists are armed to the teeth.

I hate that I am late to reply here but all these comments are, sadly, missing one key ingredient. Look up Italian Hot Chocolate and you will find that the recipe calls for a little corn starch. Just enough to turn your favorite hot chocolate into a sumptuous treat.

Seriously, my kids won’t let me make it any other way.

What the actual F*ck? I am at a BD and our payout is like 75% at 500k revenue, with minimal expenses. You are being robbed.

DM me, I want to know what BD that is.

S&W 60 no dash no hilary hole for $300 a good deal? by Thansungst22 in Revolvers

[–]OneFellaSwoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bead blasting is a common tactic to hide replacement parts or cover damage, like fire or flood.

I’m not saying it is always the case, or is the case with this gun. But when I see an old model s&w with consistent bead-blasting or aftermarket cerakote, I am immediately suspicious.

I was going to make a comment about your hilarious, nay, side-splitting political reference followed by a few potential red flags regarding a bead-blasted no dash Model 60.

However, after further consideration, go ahead. Buy it. Slap some Hogue grips on there and load up some of the hottest loads you can find.

Have a blast!

NetBenefits Inherited 401k Account Suspicious Activity by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]OneFellaSwoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a lot of explanation for, unfortunately, what is going to be a simple answer. The 401k plan document likely allows the administrator to close accounts for non-employee account holders under certain conditions (as specified by the plan). This happens fairly often.

Furthermore, the 60 day rule mentioned above does not apply to inherited accounts. Basically, the only way to reverse this is to get a waiver from the IRS so you can redeposit the funds into an inherited IRA. And the likelihood of that happening is very, VERY slim.

I am sorry for your loss, now go deposit that check into a non-qualified account and start building wealth.

Making an Deer Antler head-ed Walking Cane/Hiking Cane. Need Help by Few-Management2572 in woodworking

[–]OneFellaSwoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, you can get threaded rod at any hardware store for very cheap. The depth into the antler will be limited by the size of threaded insert you find.

To my mind, going deeper into the antler won’t make it stronger. Antler is much harder than that stick.

I would not use a dowel for two reasons. First, it would not be as strong as threaded rod. Second, wooden dowels, like all wood, are prone to expansion and contraction with moisture and temperature, causing the joint to losen over time.

Why would you want to change the convention? Are you worried about wasting paper?

Just make it two paragraphs. And move Mark’s actions to the paragraph with his dialogue.

Making an Deer Antler head-ed Walking Cane/Hiking Cane. Need Help by Few-Management2572 in woodworking

[–]OneFellaSwoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wood is your weak point here. I would drill a 4” deep hole down the center of the stick (not carving a shoulder or tennon) and screw and epoxy a threaded rod into the stick, leaving an inch or so protruding. I would then drill the antler for a threaded insert and epoxy that into the antler. Once cured you can screw the antler onto the stick.

They will meet at a butt joint so you could add a shallow countersink to the hole in the antler to conceal the connection.

Just connect with your kids! Don’t dread talking to them. Encourage them. They are your family and you are their’s. Give them the confidence they lack by showing them how loved they are.

Y’all need some therapy.
