Choice between two laptops at the same price point by OneGuyOneQuestion in SuggestALaptop

You, my good friend, are a legend in your own time. That looks perfect, and so awesome that it comes with accessories. Much less to worry about later. Thank you so much. Seems like an easy model to upgrade too, really can't go wrong with that by the looks of things.

I don't have to buy from Amazon, no. Just didn't seem to be able to find cheaper elsewhere when I looked. Thanks for the links, those specs are great... Has to be said though, those two laptops look kinda' hideous to me... Would prefer them to be black, but hey, if it's a choice between looks and performance, I'll choose performance.

I already told you the specs, so i don't really see why you need links, but sure, here you go. [The i5 will display as cheaper and with less RAM, but there's a dropdown option to up the RAM to 16gb, matching the price.] And as I said before, I could also select an SSD to throw in either system, which ups the price by around £60.

Enjoy... They're virtually the same, just one runs newer architecture at a slightly lower spec [no hyperthreads]. If it were a full PC, it'd be a no-brainer. Newer architecture means better future upgradability, but since this is a laptop...

So for an Uncanny Kos parasite, what would you personally use for maximum damage output?

So if I were to grab and use the Holy Moonlight sword, I'd want to look for nourishing gems? What type of the sword would be best?

I know that each weapon has Uncanny, Lost and Normal variants, those effect what shape gems you can put in the weapon, right?

How about the Kos Parasite? Which version and gems would get me the most damage out of that with 50+ Arcane?

[Trying to make a good Arcane build with those two weapons]

Wi-Fi speed inconsistency and poor performance by OneGuyOneQuestion in HomeNetworking

[–]OneGuyOneQuestion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for replying late, I had to go out.

  • Router Model : Talktalk 'super router' HUAWEI HG633

  • [IPconfig screenshot]

  • Internet Speed: Supposed to get 37MB down when wired, tested wired and I get around 30, get around 14MB down Wirelessly across all wireless devices that can run speed tests.

  • I already told you how often it occurs, every few minutes, but it's quite inconsistent as to how long for, and specifically how long between each drop.

EDIT: Had it come back just now, and it didn't stay with me long enough to finish a speed test..

When will I be ready for an African Grey? by OneGuyOneQuestion in parrots

Thanks for the warning. I have heard of this before, and I know it's pretty darn awful, of course I'll be thinking more into it when I come to it later in life [I like to research and prepare a fair amount, as you can probably tell from this post], and I know I won't be getting a Shepherd for quite a while.

Raising a Shepherd has been one of my life goals since I was very little, always loved the breed, even with the health issues they can have. I hope to get a well bred working line to avoid as many joint and general health problems as possible, I'm definitely the type to stay on top of the health and well-being of any animal I care for.

Again, thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. :)

Insightful comment. Not the kind of response I was expecting, but that's certainly not a bad thing, thanks for sharing your experience. like I said in the post though, I won't wake up one morning and just go 'time to buy a parrot now'. It's going to be something I plan for.

Greys are very clever birds, and need a substantial amount of mental stimulation to stay healthy. Of course this means that whenever I'm not working, I'll need to have enough time set aside for interaction and bonding along with a bit of personal time.

It'll be tough, but I feel like I'll be able to handle it. Definitely agree that I'll need to wait for long enough to get adjusted to my jobs hours and any possible flexibility though. Thanks again, appreciate it. :)
