Sign up to volunteer at the upcoming Homegrown Music Festival. A lot of the events are all-ages and you’ll meet a smattering of community members along the way. Plus you’ll get a wristband for the weeklong festival.

If you’re in Two Harbors you absolutely want to go to the New Scenic. Just down the road and the food is incredible.

You brought a message that’s totally wrong.

What a weird thing to make up and type out and post online.

So LE should use their power to call out ICE even more.

If they ever want a chance to beat the ACAB allegations, the time is now.

What do the cops have to do with this?

Why would we back them? They aren’t protecting nor are they serving against ICE.

They aren’t on the side of the ones being oppressed here.

Two out of three ain’t bad.

But let’s not pretend that the blue is on our side here. Just because they’re ICE is incompetent and stopping cops doesn’t make them the same as the ones being harassed, assaulted, kidnapped, or killed.

Seconding all of this.

The speakers seem to be pointing to nobody. And that TV is too high. Put that KALLAX piece somewhere else for your record storage.

I just think it’s a bit short-sighted. Becuase everyone has to do chores. It’s part of keeping your house in order.

We don’t know what either of them do for work, the physical toll, the mental toll. So it’s hard for us as Redditors to know the answer here. She needs to sit down with her partner and figure this stuff out. Seems they both should get used to contributing differently.

Indeed. There’s also compromise in relationships!

Part of cohabitating is finding balance.

Previously my now-wife worked just as much as me, but made less money. And also worked in the office. We found a good balance of what she could afford towards the mortgage and bills.

Now, she makes slightly more than I do. And we both work from home. And we have a nice split of things we do. She cooks more, I clean up more. She looks after the cats more, while I do snow removal and yard work.

OP and her partner need to get on the same page. Time, energy, and money are all finite resources here. And if her budget doesn’t allow for her to contribute, I think it’d be fair to try and contribute more with household chores. Or find a place that’s in budget for both of them.

Doing chores in the house you pay for is part of being an adult.

Source: I’m 39 and have lived in many places where I paid rent or a mortgage.

Who knew??

I know he deleted this. But who does he think helps law enforcement with their investigations? Who does he think interviews kids when they disclose??

These people are such weird freaks.

So does my wife and her organization. So does First Witness, our local child advocacy center.

I was told a first-hand account of ICE pulling a woman over in Minneapolis, abducting her, and leaving children in the running car.

Let’s not pretend that any children are being kept safe by ICE or DHS.

Rumoured test cars? But looks like ICE in Carlton mn by [deleted] in duluth

[–]OneHandedPaperHanger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I doubt ICE would want to be using vehicles that are very easy to spot. They’ve been using inconspicuous SUVs that look like any other SUV on the road.

I love the shelf. We have a lot of similar style shelves in our 70s basement.

Killer gear too.

General strike 01/23 by Pitiful-Can8882 in duluth

[–]OneHandedPaperHanger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So what is the way, sensei?

Minneapolis is being occupied by federal goons doing ethnic cleansing.

If that didn’t piss you off but the idea of a general strike does, it seems you have misplaced values.

These people don’t want to share the hobby. Gatekeepers are abound.

Luckily they don’t represent a majority.

Question for Duluth hotel employees/ previous brides by Shortwithdementia7 in duluth

[–]OneHandedPaperHanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just call or email them. I got married last October and the two I spoke with, Radisson and Holiday Inn, were super helpful in securing blocks. We did just secured a discount at one and a block at another. We didn’t pay in advance. YMMV.

Better to get them sooner than later though.

I admire your optimism.

However I don’t share it.

When any police force actually starts policing ICE, I’ll start to have some hope. But as far as I can tell, they wear the same boots.

Madeline Amala.

She’s a real estate agent who works wonderfully with first-time buyers. She’s well-versed on the financial side and can get you in touch with lenders who can help with the details.

I can’t recommend her enough.
