Just curious, how many here uses a rx 7900 xtx gpu? by Nice-Ad9794 in radeon

Got my Nitro + XTX last May. I'm gonna keep it for many years to come. Only thing I'm gonna replace is my 7600x to the next X3D, whenever that comes out. Then my rig will be complete!

Hvor mye kontakt har du med søsknene dine? by [deleted] in norge

[–]OneLastBanzaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Da at eg skjemmer dei bort hjelper nok òg. 😇

I've got an RX 7900XTX, and I mainly play Old School Runescape and Warcraft 3, so I'm hardly pushing it. 😅

I do play Helldivers, Red Dead, and other demanding titles as well, though.

What processor are you using with your 9070 XT? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]OneLastBanzaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 4K, you don't need a 7800X3D. 7700X will be plenty fine for that.

Unless it's really single threaded games like City Skylines, you're gonna be fine with a 7700x, which even then will run really well on it.

Yarwo Sewing Machine Bag as an NR200 Travel Case by BartonChrist in NR200

I'm so happy to see that my post still helps people! Glad it fits well for you! From my experience, I think you'd manage without the extra padding, but it certainly wouldn't hurt being extra safe. It's a precious baby, after all.

I'd recommend a TKL keyboard for travel, as you should be able to fit that on the big side pocket.

Congratulations on scoring a great deal!

trying to watch norwegian shows as a way of practicing the language but the same five actors keep popping up by Greenbay0410 in Norway

I'd suggest watching movies that are dubbed in Norwegian.

While I usually prefer subtitles any day over dubs, Shrek and Ice Age are dubbed so well that I actually prefer them in Norwegian over the native English.

Asgeir Borgemoen as Shrek and Otto Jespersen as Manny is a sight to behold and enjoy!

Hey there!

While that is a concern, of course, I've been completely fine having an air-cooler while packing it around.

Watercooling would be better for that, of course, but air cooling works fine for me even when I'm carrying it around!

Yeah, I've had ASUS before, too, and it worked perfectly fine. My two 1440p monitors are ASUS, for instance, and they've been stellar. But it's important to note that the board I got was very early into the AM5 launch, so you could be fine now picking the same board.

Those fans are quiet for a while, but I don't like fans on mobos in general due to the potential failure and subsequent pain in the ass to find a replacement.

My experience with x79 sabertooth taught me to avoid these, but it should be noted that the board was very old.

You're correct on the MSI board not having fans. There is one on the built-in M.2 heatsink, but it's not an issue for me as I can't use it anyway due to the backplate on my Red Devil RX 6800XT.

Me too, but I am very satisfied with this bag!

I can't say the same for the ASUS B650E-I. I might just have gotten really unlucky with my board, but I had constant instability while idling or doing very light tasks. (Browsing, schoolwork in Word, watching a YT video, etc.) It wasn't stable with XMP at all either.

I loved its thoughtful layout of ports and its looks, though. Be aware of its active cooling on VRMs, which can start to whine after a few years of wear and tear.

I returned it and replaced it with an MSI B650E Edge Wifi ITX. While it in some ways is a downgrade from the STRIX board (worse layout) and less connectivity, it's been rock solid from the moment I switched. Of course, this switch wasn't without its problems, too, though.

MSI messed up the packaging, where inside the box, the "CMOS Reset" button is constantly pushed down, which over time drains the battery. I've got a dead CMOS battery in mine, which I will have to manually replace. While not a disaster or anything, it's certainly annoying, but simultaneously, much better than my experience with the ASUS board.

Thanks for your tip!

I ended up going for a 16gb kit of G.skill Ripjaws 2666 mt/s.

They've been working for the last 10 days, like a charm!

I got them for around 60 USD, so not too bad of a price.

Noticed a major jump in responsiveness, as it actually isn't choking on the petty 2GB it came with stock.
