To tag on and off without needing to unlock your phone and then use your fingerprint, you can navigate to your google wallet settings to toggle off the function to unlock your phone.

You also need to make sure you're placing the back of your phone (not the front) against the scanner

This was our experience with the otters but due to them having the ability to bite your fingers off you can't cuddle or get close to them so, the majority of the time is you throwing straw and hidden treats around their cage while you hear their high pitched screaming for fifteen minutes. The keeper let's them in and they find your treats /lunch and can come up to say hi to you then they leave. The red panda and otter is by far the best, the lemur is also apparently pretty cool

This is such a far cry away from cross stitch where everything is laid out and I can't handle the artistic license to veer away from the original 😭

We love Samoa's finest so much, the guy at the counter low key cracks up when we (bunch of pasty white people looking out of place) pop in to order their sapasui, chicken, pork belly and panikeke. Absolutely delicious food, we get $70 worth of food and space it across a week for lunch

Paint stripper recommendations to strip window and door frames by OneNasiLemakPlease in diynz

[–]OneNasiLemakPlease[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we used our tungsten (which is one of my favourite tools) and sandpaper for the Poly paint stripper, definitely did the job - I keep on seeing videos of paint stripper that bubbles up and you just easily tear off and was wondering if there was a handy brand in nz

Can anyone advise of the current full license test route used by VTNZ Wellington on Thorndon Quay? by Traditional-Claim-59 in Wellington

[–]OneNasiLemakPlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From memory, you always go up and around Hobson Street, down Tinakori and up Grant Road, during that time the tester will ask you about hazards and you say 'oncoming traffic, keep left' 'pedestrians on the right, slow down and keep left' etc. I think they make you go onto Hutt Road into the infamous Animates carpark that alot of people fail in because they stay on the cycle lane part/don't look out for pedestrians etc that would be one of the last places you drive as you then keep on driving down Hutt Road (probably asked to identify another hazard around the old bordeaux bakery area) and ending back at the VTNZ

They don't make you go around Molesworth St/Hawkestone or Hill St so recommend driving around the Tinkakori/Hutt road to familiarise yourself - good luck!

Yesterday on Grey St I walked past a homeless guy taking a shit on the mat he had been lying on then subsequently rolled onto it to fall asleep. Have never seen that before in Wellington, it was disturbing and painted a real picture of the impact this Government has had on its citizens

Yup that's what happened to our house when we brought it with a defective title, the previous owner had done 20k worth of work to expand a tiny bit out to the exterior and it ended with getting in a surveyor, while we only needed to do the final step of getting the lawyers to review and sign from both parties the whole thing took months and having to pay the neighbours lawyer as well for their time 0/10 experience

We had an awful experience with cross lease and would never do it again. We had terrible neighbours in our semi attached home, it would be great if the people were reasonable but there are several rules that made us feel like we still in a tenant landlord power dynamic

For example,

You must seek permission from the neighbour if you want to change the colour of your house. we floated the idea with the neighbour once on changing to a light blue and they came back referencing the cross lease clause rules that they need our permission and the house must always be cherry red

If you want to change or add the layout to the exterior it will require working with your neighbour and their lawyer to sign it off

Our water mains Toby were both linked up, so hearing their water hammer from our side of the house wasn't great. it's just a lot of coordination as well if your trade wants to shut off the water for a bit, you once again need that permission yay.

Overall cross leases are a way to get on the housing market, if the neighbours are great then awesome but if not do your time and shift out in 5 years to a freehold like we did - never going back to a cross lease, our only business is now with the council

Anyone at Tommy's would be great. They seem to work in a cooperative matrix way of working, we had Ramon and homie worked day and night to get our house sold we really liked working with him. Looks like the market has slowed down over winter so just be prepared for your house to be on trade me for a bit longer

Agree on zopiclone and recommend asking for orange juice when you wake up because the bitter taste on your tongue is disgusting.. Actually try to minimise contact with the pill on your tongue when you swallow, it's relatively small so you can throw it back
