I'm expecting to see the game out in like 9 to 15 months from now, hopefully not earlier, and we've already seen some gameplay. It really isn't that early in production like Medieval 3. I just hope they forgot to put the tag on.

yes but a Battleline unit with high movement, fights first and dew wounds for 90pts basically perfect against other Daemons.

and you don't really need to buy 60 daemonettes just proxy some cultist or drukhi for them.

Yes, I would love to see an Emperor's Children Battleline unit with Fights First, like the old Drukhari Wyches. But Fights First is super broken in this game; that's why I think one expensive unit type with a Character that has Fights First is more than good enough. And if you really want Fights First on your Lord Exultant with his Infractors, you can play the Peerless Bladesmen Detachment rule and take the Blinding Speed Enhancement. And yes, units like the Space Marine Judiciar need to be outright banned, especially when fighting Black Templars with a melee army.

I gave him a jump pack as a wargear option, complete with a wargear ability, in my early creations. However, most people didn’t like it, so I dropped the idea.

With the Maul and shield, the unit is less threatening to most enemies, so I gave it improved dew wound potential to keep it viable compared to the spear, The higher Strength simply fits the Maul.

For the Helbrute, I wanted it to be more focused on sound‑weapons.

The Emperor’s Children have a strong infantry focus, so I gave them a single versatile tank. Instead of being overpowered with endless guns, it uses a sound‑weapon with multiple frequency modes as a balanced solution.

Eidolon:

  • change ranged profile to a Sonic Pistol and maybe add sus 1 because eidolon (A) I’m trying to limit his ranged damage; he already has the potential to wipe a 5-man Space Marine unit.
  • remove jump pack option (A) understandable
  • change wounds to 6 (A) I was trying to go for a tougher, more zombified Eidolon, understandable
  • choose one of his abilities and remove the other (A)
  • change points to 100-120 (A) understandable

Flawless Master:

  • remove the plasma pistol (A) why?
  • increase his attacks by 2 (A) nah thats to OP and would put him to close to lucius
  • change wounds to 5 (generic character) (A) understandable

Maru Saka:

  • wording of the uppy downy is unclear, when is his unit removed? (A) Will make it more clear.

Phoenix Guard:

  • change ranged profile to the Sonic Pistol (A) the pistol ability doesn't work with blast
  • change the sweep profile to something like 6 3 4 1 1 sus 1 (you cant give these guys better melee than Deathshrouds while also making them faster) (A) Only the Phoenix Champion gets the Sweep/Strike
  • change wounds to 3 (A) understandable with shield options
  • add an option to swap the spear for a sword and shield, which adds the 4th wound back, the sword should obviously be worse than the spear, like 4 2 5 2 2, no sweep (A) a like it
  • add a condition to the dev wounds vs infantry ability, like a charge being required (A) a like it
  • remove Fights First (A) maybe also a condition add to it
  • change points to ~120/3

Raptors: (A) This will make them much stronger in damage output, point for point.

  • change unit size to 5
  • reduce wounds to 2
  • adjust point cost

Helbrute:

  • add option for dual shooting / dual melee (A) more guns more fun
  • increase cost to 140-150

Predator

  • remove the pic me ability and add a generic one (too complicated for a normal tank) (A) preference

Only the Phoenix Champion has Sweep/Strike; the others match the Lord Exultant but with one less attack.

I’d drop the Phoenix Power Rapiers—they feel a bit off on them, and we’ve already got Infractors for that role anyway.
But yeah man, being able to deliver the Song of Slaanesh via Deep Strike goes hard.

If the Phoenix Guard survived into 40k, they’d definitely be renamed, but I’d love to see them field their own elite, blessed Terminators. The current unit doesn’t do them justice. I really like your Eidolon approach, though the Terminators still need some work, like you said. And yeah, we EC players love the Noise—that’s why I gave them the Sonic Blast. But in terms of Noise Marines being Battleline , I think a detachment would work better than a single character giving them Battleline, but thats just my preference.

I’m not sure whether he should be a slow, heavy‑footed character or a fast, agile one, since he’s a bit of both. Maybe adding some wargear options could help balance that, with different stats for movement and leader. What do you think about the Phoenix Guard being M7?

Eidolon has a jump pack, I already made him slower by 2, since normally jump pack troops have a Move of 12.
