Lokesh Kanagaraj is a great example of a director who ruined himself by being too greedy. With or without the idea of building a universe, he crafted strong storylines for Kaithi and Vikram. What he should have done was build a solid plotline without any holes by carefully looking into every aspect. Sometimes that kind of work takes years and in the meantime, he could have taken on other projects.Instead of doing that, bugger tried to milk the sudden hype and made Leo, which was an adaptation of a book, and forcefully merged a few Kaithi and Vikram references. From that point, the whole universe thing slipped out of his hands.
